আজ বিশ্ব শোভন কর্ম দিবসে আমরা, সম্মিলিত গার্মেন্টস শ্রমিক ফেডারেশনের পক্ষ থেকে, অনিশ্চিত ও ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ (Precarious) কর্মসংস্থান বন্ধ করার আহবান জানাচ্ছি।

চুক্তিভিত্তিক, অস্থায়ী, ঠিকাদারি ও সাব-কন্ট্রাক্টের মাধ্যমে নিয়োজিত শ্রমিকেরা নিয়মিত ও পূর্ণকালীন কাজ করেও অনেক সময় চাকরির নিরাপত্তা, সামাজিক সুরক্ষা, ন্যায্য মজুরি, নিয়োগপত্র-পরিচয়পত্র এবং সংগঠিত হওয়ার অধিকার থেকে বঞ্চিত হন। একই কাজ করেও শুধু নিয়োগের ধরন ভিন্ন হওয়ার কারণে একজন শ্রমিক তার মৌলিক অধিকার থেকে বঞ্চিত হতে পারেন না।

আমাদের দাবি—

✊ অনিশ্চিত ও ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ (Precarious) কর্মসংস্থান বন্ধ করতে হবে।
✊ চুক্তিভিত্তিক, অস্থায়ী, ঠিকাদারি ও সাব-কন্ট্রাক্ট শ্রমিকদের পূর্ণ শ্রম অধিকার নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।
✊ সকল শ্রমিককে নিয়োগপত্র ও পরিচয়পত্র প্রদান করতে হবে।
✊ ন্যায্য ও জীবনধারণযোগ্য মজুরি এবং সামাজিক সুরক্ষা নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।
✊ সকল শ্রমিকের চাকরির নিরাপত্তা ও সংগঠিত হওয়ার অধিকার নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।
✊ কর্মক্ষেত্রে নিরাপদ ও স্বাস্থ্যসম্মত পরিবেশ নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।
✊ কর্মক্ষেত্রে সহিংসতা ও যৌন হয়রানি বন্ধ করে কার্যকর অভিযোগ ও প্রতিকার ব্যবস্থা নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।
✊ ঠিকাদার বা তৃতীয় পক্ষের মাধ্যমে নিয়োগের অজুহাতে মূল নিয়োগকর্তাকে শ্রমিকের প্রতি দায়িত্ব এড়িয়ে যাওয়ার সুযোগ দেওয়া যাবে না।

শোভন কাজ কোনো অনুগ্রহ নয়, এটি শ্রমিকের অধিকার।

On this World Day for Decent Work, Sommilito Garments Sramik Federation is calling for an end to precarious work.

Workers who are working regularly and full-time through temporary, contractual, outsourcing, subcontracting and other precarious arrangements are often denied job security, social protection, decent wages, appointment and ID cards and the right to organize. The type of employment must not be used as an excuse to deny workers their basic rights.

We demand—

✊ An end to precarious and insecure employment.
✊ Full labour rights for temporary, contractual, outsourced and subcontracted workers.
✊ Appointment letters and ID cards for all workers.
✊ Fair and living wages and social protection for all workers.
✊ Job security and the right to organize for all workers.
✊ Safe and healthy working conditions in every workplace.
✊ An end to violence and sexual harassment at work, with effective complaint and remedy mechanisms.
✊ Employers must not be allowed to avoid their responsibilities towards workers through contractors or third-party employment arrangements.

Decent work is not a privilege. It is a right.

ঢাকার আশুলিয়ার জামগড়া এলাকায় Pretty Group-এর কারখানা প্রাঙ্গণে গ্যাস সিলিন্ডার বিস্ফোরণ ও অগ্নিকাণ্ডে ৭ জনের মর্মান্তিক মৃত্যু এবং অন্তত ২৪ জন আহত হওয়ার ঘটনায় সম্মিলিত গার্মেন্টস শ্রমিক ফেডারেশন গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করছে, আহত সকলের দ্রুত সুস্থতা কামনা করছে এবং গুরুতর আহতদের সর্বোচ্চ মানের চিকিৎসা নিশ্চিত করার দাবি জানাচ্ছে।

আমরা দাবি জানাচ্ছি—

🔴 ঘটনার নিরপেক্ষ, স্বচ্ছ ও পূর্ণাঙ্গ তদন্ত করতে হবে এবং তদন্তে শ্রমিক প্রতিনিধি ও ট্রেড ইউনিয়নের প্রতিনিধিদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করতে হবে।

🔴 নিহতদের প্রত্যেক পরিবারের জন্য যথাযথ ক্ষতিপূরণ ও দীর্ঘমেয়াদি সামাজিক ও জীবিকা সহায়তা নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।

🔴 আহতদের সম্পূর্ণ চিকিৎসা, ওষুধ, পরীক্ষা, অস্ত্রোপচার ও প্রয়োজনীয় পুনর্বাসনের ব্যয় নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।

🔴 আহত শ্রমিকদের চিকিৎসাধীন ও চিকিৎসা-পরবর্তী সময়ে মজুরি ও চাকরির নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।

🔴 গ্যাস সিলিন্ডারসহ সকল ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ উপকরণের সংরক্ষণ, পরিবহন ও ব্যবহারের নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা অবিলম্বে পরিদর্শন করতে হবে।

🔴 আশুলিয়াসহ দেশের সকল শিল্পকারখানায় জরুরি নিরাপত্তা পরিদর্শন ও ঝুঁকি মূল্যায়ন করতে হবে।

🔴 নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থাপনা, ঝুঁকি মূল্যায়ন ও পরিদর্শনের প্রতিটি পর্যায়ে শ্রমিক প্রতিনিধি ও ট্রেড ইউনিয়নের কার্যকর অংশগ্রহণ*নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।

🔴 তদন্তে দায়িত্বে অবহেলা বা নিরাপত্তাবিধি লঙ্ঘনের প্রমাণ পাওয়া গেলে দায়ীদের বিরুদ্ধে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা নিতে হবে।

গভীর আনন্দ ও গর্বের সাথে জানাচ্ছি যে, AKH Stitch Art Ltd. Sommilito Sramik Union (AKHSSU) ২১ মে ২০২৬ তারিখে শ্রম অধিদপ্তরের তত্ত্বাবধানে অনুষ্ঠিত নির্বাচনে সর্বপ্রথম যৌথ দরকষাকষি প্রতিনিধি (CBA agent ) হিসেবে নির্বাচিত হয়েছে।
নির্বাচনে শ্রমিকদের বিপুল সমর্থন নিয়ে AKHSSU মোট বৈধ ভোটের প্রায় ৬৬% অর্জন করে বিজয়ী হয়েছে। এই ফলাফল প্রমাণ করে যে শ্রমিকরা তাদের অধিকার, মর্যাদা এবং ন্যায্য দাবিদাওয়া আদায়ে নিজেদের সংগঠনের প্রতি আস্থা ও বিশ্বাস রেখেছেন।
বিশেষভাবে উল্লেখযোগ্য যে, AKHSSU, ২৩ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৪ সালে নিবন্ধিত হওয়ার পর অল্প সময়ের মধ্যেই কারখানার সিবিএ এজেন্ট হিসেবে নির্বাচিত হয়েছে। এটি শ্রমিকদের ঐক্য, সাহস, নেতৃত্ব এবং ধারাবাহিক সংগঠনের এক অনন্য উদাহরণ। এই বিজয় শুধু একটি নির্বাচনী সাফল্য নয়; এটি শ্রমিকদের গণতান্ত্রিক অধিকার, সংগঠনের স্বাধীনতা এবং কার্যকর সামাজিক সংলাপের পক্ষে একটি শক্তিশালী বার্তা।

We are delighted to share a significant and historic achievement of our affiliated factory union, AKH Stitch Art Ltd. Sommilito Sramik Union (AKHSSU).
On 21 May 2026, under the supervision of the Department of Labour, AKHSSU was democratically elected as the first Collective Bargaining Agent (CBA) of AKH Stitch Art Ltd., marking a major milestone in the advancement of workers’ representation and collective voice at the garment sector.
According to the official election results, AKHSSU secured 1,472 votes out of 2,230 valid votes cast, representing approximately 66% of the total votes, and achieved a clear and convincing mandate from the workforce.
This achievement is particularly remarkable considering that AKHSSU was officially registered only on 23 December 2024. Within less than eighteen months, the union successfully progressed from registration to becoming the elected CBA of the factory. Such a rapid and successful journey demonstrates the determination, unity, and leadership of the workers, as well as the dedicated organizing efforts and continuous support provided by SGSF.
