With every year beginning on the first day of the month of Muharram, the month where we reflect on values such as faith, sacrifice, patience and compassion. For all Muslims, this is a very special time of year. As we work to build better, more meaningful lives, it also enables us to reaffirm our intentions with Allah (SWT), strengthen our relationship with Allah (SWT), and learn from one another.

Muharram teaches us that every fresh start offers an opportunity to develop and think. We hope Muharram brings everyone serenity, discernment to make wise choices, and fortitude to confront life's obstacles. May the upcoming year be filled with mercy and blessings from Allah (SWT). Throughout the upcoming year, may Allah (SWT) show His mercy and blessings.

We, BRAC University Computer Club (BUCC), wish everyone the most happy, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling month of Muharram. May the 1432 New Year bring you endless prosperity, health, and countless blessings.

What a fantastic experience these past two days have been!

The Club Fair had people from very diverse backgrounds come and explore the opportunities and learn new things available on campus and from the various clubs. Many future members had a chance to find out more about what the club does and to meet other people who love to learn and express their creativity at our BUCC stall.

Special thanks to the volunteers of BUCC who contributed so much time and energy to represent the club in such a wonderful way. We were able to provide a place for our visitors not only to learn about us but also to make many excellent connections in the process. The success of the BUCC Club Fair is an excellent example of teamwork in achieving a high level of success.

It is with profound sorrow that BRAC University Computer Club (BUCC) mourns the tragic passing of two students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University, Labib Wadi Sopan and Ajwad Tawsif, who lost their lives in Munshiganj on 22nd May 2026. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiโ€™un.

Their untimely passing is a heartbreaking loss for the entire BRAC University community. They will always be remembered for their presence, aspirations, and the memories they shared with friends, classmates, and teachers throughout their journey at the university.

On behalf of BUCC, we extend our deepest condolences to their families, friends, classmates, and loved ones during this difficult time. May Allah grant them eternal peace and provide strength and patience to everyone grieving this immense loss.
