Yesterday was an encouraging day for our mission to take STEM, AI, and Robotics beyond the capital. We visited Pundra University of Science and Technology in Bogura, where the university hosted a targeted seminar, "Building Bangladesh’s STEM, AI and Robotics Talent Pipeline: The Role of Universities beyond Capital."
The session brought together faculty members across multiple departments and was facilitated by our President, Mr Munir Hasan.
Talent is everywhere in Bangladesh, but opportunity is not.
If we genuinely want to build a future ready nation, everything cannot remain centered around Dhaka. We need universities outside the capital to step forward not just as places for formal degrees, but as vibrant regional talent discovery platforms and innovation hubs. They need to connect school and college students with university mentors, industry networks, and national and global pathways.
The enthusiasm from the faculty members was genuinely inspiring. They were actively discussing how to work together, how to mentor local youth, and how to build a sustained ecosystem in the northern region.
We want to see Pundra University become a launchpad where a young school student from Bogura can walk in, discover that technology is something they can create rather than just consume, find mentors, join competitions like the AI Olympiad or WRO, and eventually represent Bangladesh on the global stage.
We are deeply honored by the warm invitation and leadership of Prof. Dr. Hosne Ara Begum, Founder & Chair of the Board of Trustees, The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Chitta Ranjan Misra and Prof Dr Md Abu Hanif, Director, IQAC. Their commitment to empowering youth through technology gives us immense hope.
