After seven years, the Japan Festival 2026 returned to Dhaka, bringing together traditional Japanese arts, culture, martial arts, music, and culinary experiences, while highlighting the enduring friendship and cultural exchange between Japan and Bangladesh.

Japan Karate Association World Federation (JKA WF) Bangladesh is deeply honored and grateful for the privilege of being part of this wonderful celebration. Our students had the opportunity to showcase traditional Japanese karate through Kata and Tameshiwari (Tile Breaking), reflecting the discipline, precision, spirit, and traditions of Japanese Budo.

Our sincere appreciation to the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh for bestowing upon us this great honor and providing a platform to share the beauty of traditional karate with the people of Bangladesh.

We remain committed to preserving and promoting the authentic spirit of Japanese Budo karate and strengthening the enduring friendship between Japan and Bangladesh through the values of karate.

Osu! 🇯🇵🇧🇩

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SENIOR MASTERS — HONOURING THE HIGHEST RANKS OF JKA KARATE

JKA WF Bangladesh extends its sincere congratulations to:

Takeshi Oishi Shuseki Shihan
on his promotion to 10th Dan, JKA

and

Takenori Imura Shihan
Tomio Imamura Shihan
Yasunori Ogura Shihan
on their promotion to 9th Dan, JKA.

The awarding of these ranks marks an important moment in the history of JKA Karate. Such grades are not merely recognition of technical ability, but reflect a lifetime of practice, teaching, leadership, and service to the art.

For JKA karateka, the value of a rank lies in the responsibility that accompanies it—the continued transmission of correct technique, proper etiquette, and the principles of Budo to the next generation.

JKA WF Bangladesh respectfully joins the worldwide JKA community in recognising this important occasion and in expressing our highest respect to these distinguished Masters.

OSS!
