Strengthening Autism Identification Through Professional Assessment
Training on ADOS-2 Assessment Tool for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Accurate identification of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is crucial for ensuring that children receive the right support and intervention. Without proper assessment, a child may be misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or receive inappropriate treatment. At the same time, many professionals do not always have adequate opportunities to receive specialized training in standardized autism assessment tools.
Recognizing this need, faith Bangladesh continues to place strong emphasis on professional training and capacity building to promote evidence-based assessment and intervention for children with autism and other developmental needs.
We are pleased to share that more than 100 participants applied for this specialized ADOS-2 training program. Following a careful selection process, 14 participants have been selected to take part in this intensive training.
The training was inaugurated by the Executive Director of faith Bangladesh, Ms. Nilufer Ahmed Karim, who highlighted the importance of strengthening professional capacity in standardized autism assessment and ensuring better support for children and their families.
The training is being conducted by Ms. Narsis Rahman, an internationally certified ADOS trainer specializing in autism assessment and related professional development.
đ A Two-Step Certification Process
An important feature of this training is its structured two-step certification process:
1ī¸âŖ Certificate of Attendance
Participants who attend the training will receive a **Certificate of Attendance**, confirming their participation in the training program.
2ī¸âŖ Eligibility for Assessment
Participants will be required to complete assigned learning activities following the training. Those who successfully complete the required assignments will become **eligible to proceed to the assessment stage.
This structured approach ensures that participants do not simply attend a training session, but also demonstrate their learning and preparedness before progressing toward competency assessment.
Through initiatives like this, faith Bangladesh is committed to strengthening professional capacity, promoting standardized assessment practices, and ultimately contributing to better identification and support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
