1ST CREW MEETING (08.12.2024):

Paxtu Girl-in-Rover Unit organized its 1st crew meeting after the renovation of Scout Den on Sunday, 08 December 2024, at 16.00 hr. It was organized at Mirpur Paikpara Primary High School Play Ground in Dhaka. The program was chaired by the Rover Scout Leader, Ms. Afroza Sultana. The meeting continued for one hour and was completed by the ending flag parade program before sunset at 17:00 hr.

After the Rebellion of 5th August 2024, the total traffic system of Dhaka City was broken down. In this phenomenon, Bangladesh Scouts took initiatives to control the traffic situation in Dhaka City. Paxtu Open Rover Scout Group (PORSG) is an open Rover crew based in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. It was established in 2017 under the guardianship of Dhanmondi Govt. Boys’ High School Scout Alumni Association (DSAA). In 2018, it was registered as 305th team of Bangladesh Scouts Dhaka District Rover.

Group Structure: President: Mr. Mozharul Haque, PRS Vice President: Mr. Jamal Uddin Sikder, Deputy National Commissioner (IR), Bangladesh Scouts Secretary: Mr. Zamil Ahmed, LT, Deputy National Commissioner (ICT), Bangladesh Scouts Rover Scout Leader (RSL): Md. Raihan Ubaidullah, CALT, Asst. Chief- Bangladesh Tariff Commission-GoB

At present, there are two patrols with 15 Rover Scouts in the group. Most of them are recently passed Scouts from Dhanmondi Govt. Boys’ High School but others are also cordially invited to join us. Weekly crew meetings are mostly held at Dhanmondi-32 lake side.
