We are pleased to announce the results of the National Round of the National Earth Olympiad (NEO) 2026.

The examination was held simultaneously across all divisions and the Cumilla region of Bangladesh. The results reflect overall national performance and are not ranked division-wise.

Congratulations to all the qualifiers for their outstanding performance. The qualifiers will soon receive an official email containing instructions on the next steps, including details on how to qualify for the Team Selection Exam, scheduled to take place in June 2026.

To everyone who took part but could not make it to the next stage, you have done very well in what was a highly competitive round. We encourage you to continue pursuing your interest in Earth and environmental science and to stay connected with NEO in the coming years.

Congratulations to the Dhaka Divisional Toppers for successfully completing the Green Day Training (GDT). Welcome to the NEO Alumni Network!

As part of the alumni network, they will have the opportunity to design and implement E-STEM Action Projects in their communities, addressing pressing local environmental challenges through innovation and impact 🌍

Also, they will compete in the National Round of NEO 2026, and the top four participants will be selected to represent Bangladesh at the International Earth Science Olympiad 2026 in Turin, Italy 🇮🇹

আজকের Green Day Training (GDT) ওয়ার্কশপের অন্যতম একটি সেশন ছিলো কেস স্টাডি প্রেজেন্টেশন - যা শিক্ষার্থীদের বিশ্লেষণধর্মী চিন্তা, সমস্যা সমাধান দক্ষতা এবং বাস্তব জীবনের পরিবেশগত চ্যালেঞ্জ মোকাবেলায় সৃজনশীলতা বিকাশে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রেখেছে।

এই সেশনগুলোতে অংশগ্রহণকারীরা দলগতভাবে কাজ করে বিভিন্ন বাস্তব সমস্যার সমাধান খুঁজে বের করার চেষ্টা করেছে, যা তাদের নেতৃত্বদানের সক্ষমতা আরও শক্তিশালী করেছে !

ঢাকাতে আজ অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗚𝗗𝗧)! এখন পর্যন্ত অংশগ্রহণকারীরা Planetary Boundaries, এবং National Earth Olympiad (NEO) 2026-এর থিম " 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺" এই সেশনগুলোতে অংশগ্রহণ করেছে। এছাড়াও তারা বিভিন্ন মজার গ্রুপ অ্যাক্টিভিটিতেও যুক্ত হয়েছে।

এই অভিজ্ঞতা অংশগ্রহণকারীদের চিন্তা, দক্ষতা ও দৃষ্টিভঙ্গিতে নতুন মাত্রা যোগ করেছে। শুধু শেখা নয়, বাস্তবে কিছু করার আত্মবিশ্বাসও তৈরি করেছে।

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ঐতিহ্যবাহী কার্জন হল প্রাঙ্গণে আজ অনুষ্ঠিত হলো ১৩তম National Earth Olympiad (NEO) 2026-এর ঢাকা বিভাগীয় পর্ব। ঢাকা বিভাগের বিভিন্ন শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান থেকে একশোরও বেশি শিক্ষার্থীর স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণে আয়োজনটি হয়ে ওঠে অত্যন্ত প্রাণবন্ত। এটি শুধুমাত্র একটি প্রতিযোগিতামূলক পরীক্ষা নয়; বরং পৃথিবী, পরিবেশ এবং ভবিষ্যৎ নেতৃত্ব নিয়ে নতুনভাবে ভাবার একটি প্ল্যাটফর্ম!

অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভূতত্ত্ব বিভাগের চেয়ারম্যান ড. মোঃ বদরুদ্দজা মিয়া, প্রফেসর ড. কাজী মতিন উদ্দিন আহমেদসহ একাধিক বিশিষ্ট অতিথি। “Reimagining Science for Restoration of our Planetary Ecosystem” থিমকে কেন্দ্র করে আয়োজিত বিশেষ সেশনগুলোতে আর্থ সায়েন্স, বাস্তব জীবনের পরিবেশগত চ্যালেঞ্জ এবং বাস্তুতন্ত্র পুনরুদ্ধারের প্রয়োজনীয়তা নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়। অতিথিরা শিক্ষার্থীদের উৎসাহিত করে এমন উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে বিজ্ঞানমনস্কতা, পরিবেশ সচেতনতা এবং দায়িত্বশীল নেতৃত্ব গড়ে তোলার গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেন।

National Earth Olympiad (NEO) 2026 is more than a competition, this is where curiosity turns into real action!

At the Divisional Round, young minds stepped beyond textbooks to explore Earth Science and tackle real environmental challenges. Through E-STEM Action Projects, they don’t just learn - they implement hands-on solutions to real-world problems.

Divisional toppers advance to the Green Day Training (GDT), a day-long interactive workshop. Following this, participants move through the National Round, Team Selection Test, National Camp, and Field Visit. Ultimately, the top four participants will earn the honor of representing Bangladesh at the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) 2026, to be held in Turin, Italy!

আজ অনুষ্ঠিত হলো খুলনা ও বরিশাল বিভাগের Green Day Training (GDT). এটি একটি দিনব্যাপী ইন্টারঅ্যাকটিভ কর্মশালা, যেখানে অংশগ্রহণকারীরা যুক্ত হয়েছে Planetary Boundaries, National Earth Olympiad (NEO) 2026 এর থিম: Reimagining Science for the Restoration of our Planetary Ecosystem, এবং Environmental Stewardship সেশনগুলোতে।

শুধু তাত্ত্বিক শেখা নয়, মজার গ্রুপ অ্যাক্টিভিটির মাধ্যমে তারা নিজ নিজ অঞ্চলের পরিবেশগত সমস্যাগুলোর problem mapping করেছে, ব্রেইনস্টর্মিংয়ের মাধ্যমে উদ্ভাবনী সমাধান তৈরি ও উপস্থাপন করেছে। এই প্রক্রিয়ায় তারা শিখছে কীভাবে স্থানীয় জ্ঞান ও বিজ্ঞানকে একত্রে ব্যবহার করে বাস্তবসম্মত সমাধান তৈরি করতে হয়, দলগতভাবে কাজ করতে হয়, এবং নিজের আইডিয়াকে আত্মবিশ্বাসের সাথে তুলে ধরতে হয়।

এই অভিজ্ঞতা তাদের চিন্তা, দক্ষতা ও দৃষ্টিভঙ্গিতে নতুন মাত্রা যোগ করছে, গড়ে তুলছে পরিবেশ সচেতনতা, নেতৃত্বগুণ এবং বাস্তব পরিবর্তন আনার আত্মবিশ্বাস।
