From Development Team last year to wearing the nation’s colors with Team Bangladesh WSDC, Nandita Saha’s debating journey speaks for itself.

She began debating at just 13 — a quiet student walking into her first debate class. But she stayed. She trained, practiced, and built herself with discipline and passion. In the beginning, through countless novice tournaments, even when wins were rare despite her strong performances, she never lost heart... Every round fueled her growth. Now only as a 9th grader, she represents the nation’s biggest stage.
After Rubaiya Sharin first carrying MLISDC to Team BD in 2006, nearly two decades later, Nandita Saha does it again.

This achievement is pride for both our club and school, and EVERY BIT of it belongs to Nandita’s perseverance.

After years, full MLISDC brings a massive win home from Pre-Worlds 2025 🎉

MLIS A has once again proven its excellence on the national stage:
• Ended their journey as Quarterfinalists
• Broke with the highest team speaker score of 1638
• Broke as the 7th Best Open Team with 4/6 wins in the prelims

🌟 Nandita Saha (Class IX) secured 3rd Best Speaker with an outstanding 78.83 average, showcasing exceptional structure, clarity, and consistency throughout the tournament.

🌟 Rauf us Sabid and Syeda Raima Anam (both Class XI) jointly secured the 22nd Best Speaker position with a strong 77.50 average, reflecting remarkable skill, growth, and determination.

We are also proud to share that Nandita and Sabid, along with Raima as a swing, have secured their spots in this year’s National Camp.

After years of persistence, resilience, and hard-earned progress, MLISDC celebrates new achievements and the promise of many more stories yet to unfold. 🎉

We’re excited to announce that debate classes will resume this Saturday! 🎉

The sessions will cover both the fundamentals for beginners and advanced concepts for experienced debaters, conducted by our club coach.

🗓 Every Saturday
⏰ Timings:
• Boys: 9:00 AM – 10:45 AM
• Girls: 10:50 AM – 12:50 PM

Eligibility: Class 6 to Alevels
{MLIS students only}

To join the classes and become an official member, kindly register through the form link below or scan the QR code in the poster.
Those who are already a member, are ALSO REQUIRED to fill up the form to be considered an official member of MLISDC 2025-2026.

✨ THROWBACK TO MLIS ETHOS DAY 3 ✨
As the curtains drew to a close on the final day of the tournament, the atmosphere was filled with anticipation and pride. After 3 days of intense rounds, compelling arguments and unforgettable moments, participants left with not only victories but also lessons, friendships and memories to cherish.

Beyond the competition the event reflected growth, resilience and the unifying spirit of debate. None of this would have been possible without the tireless efforts and support of our sponsors, volunteers, adjudicators and teachers- to whom we extend our deepest gratitude.

Thank you to everyone for being with us throughout this incredible journey and with that we mark the end of an unforgettable chapter, until we meet again.

Day 2 was long, busy, and unforgettable. Being wrapped in colourful sarees and punjabis, the fruitful debates with excitement of Break Night, it was a day full of energy and emotion.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who stood by us through the long hours, bringing their energy, patience, and enthusiasm to make the day such a success. The support of our participants, adjudicators, teachers, and guests turned a challenging day into an unforgettable one. 🎲

Our very first interschool debate tournament began with immense support and enthusiasm from the debaters, adjudicators, teachers, and guests who joined us. We remain truly grateful for the encouragement and participation that made the opening day such a success.

Day 1 marked not only the beginning of the tournament, but also the start of a journey we will always look back on with pride and gratitude. ♥️
