SDSL — Society of the Deaf and Sign Language Users — is an Organization committed to advancing the rights, dignity, and inclusion of Deaf and Bangla Sign Language users in Bangladesh. Society of the Deaf and Sign Language Users (SDSL) is Bangladesh's first Deaf-led Disabled People's Organization (DPO), established in 2008 and governed by Deaf and hard-of-hearing persons and Bangla Sign Language (B

SL) users. Vision: An inclusive, barrier-free Bangladesh where Deaf persons and sign language users enjoy full human rights and equal participation in all aspects of society. What we do:

Impact: Led the campaign for official recognition of Bangla Sign Language (2009) and Bangla Sign Language Day (Feb 7). Reached 10,000+ Deaf persons through accessible media, provided legal aid to 500+ individuals, and trained 300+ teachers, police officers, and service providers.
