'X' RPSC STUDENTS took the name 'RiPublicans' ('Ri', deriving from Rifles and 'Publicans', deriving from the name of our college, 'Rifles Public') and Officially went in action on the 20th of June, 2011, but could not change the Official Facebook Group name due to the restrictions of Facebook Rules. This Group also organized various get-togethers and teamed up with Voluntary Organisations to work for the distressed people. The get-togethers include the sumptuous RIPUBLICANS IFTAR PARTY, held on the 18th of August, 2011, at Star Kabab, in which, about 650 members of the 1996-2013 Batches Participated. The most interesting thing to be noted was that all the promotions and invitations were made only through Facebook! On the 15th of December, 2011, RiPublicans organized the Biggest Rag Day Celebration in the 35 years History of BNMPC. Merging with BIBORTOK (an organization made by the Students of HSC Batch 2012), a total number of 400 Students of the 2012 Batch celebrated one of the best days of their life, at The Marriot Convention Centre in Dhanmondi. The meritorious students of the 2012 Batch, along with various Underground Rock Bands of The Batch, performed with and MOHAKAAL to create moments of heavenly bliss among the students. The 35th Anniversary of Bir Shreshtha Noor Mohammad Rifles Public School and College was celebrated on a large scale for the first time on the 1st of August, 2012. A sumptuous feast of decorated birthday cake took place that day among the proud teachers and students of the Institution. RiPublicans, with the help of HSC Batch of 2014, also arranged the first-ever ‘RiPublicans Photography Exhibition’ on the 21st of February, 2013. Photographs taken by the students of the Institution were proudly presented at this event. Even though a plan for the long sought reunion on 28th of December, 2012 was made, it never came to light. Finally, the time for waiting came to an end as a re-union was organized on the 29th of March, 2013, which was open for all batches of the Institution. Around 1500 alumni from 1977 till 2012 took part in this reunion, which is also the largest reunion to ever take place in the history of RiPublicans. Apart from all of these, RiPublicans also organized the Rag Day of HSC Batch of 2013 and 2014. On the 21st of March 2014, an ICC T20 Flash-Mob was organized by The RiPublicans with the help of HSC Batch of 2013 and HSC Batch of 2015 students. Students from Rifles Public School also took part in this event. And thus, RiPublicans dignified its purpose to unite students. RiPublicans have also done quite a few Humanitarian Activities. They recently merged with Mrittika, a Humanitarian Voluntary Group of the Students of the 2012 batch, to collect funds for the flood-affected people of The Devastating Flood of 2012. Mrittika also got helping hands from eminent organizations like The Prothom-Alo Bandhu Shova and Channel I. RiPublicans have also connected with 'Britter Baire', and went in action to receive donations to buy Iftaar Items for the Street Children, and make them smile during the month of Ramadan, in 2011. Merging with 'Conscious Bangladesh', RiPublicans also took an honorable step to teach the Street Children of the Dhanmondi Area, for free, and give them food for education. RiPublicans has always been there for every student of Rifles Public School and College, whether they are a part of the alumni or a current student. We have always tried our level best to unite our members to be one and make our journey of life enjoyable together. And with that, we can also say that our slogan proudly says who we are:
"Together we can hold up the sky because its weight is nothing to the power of our unity."
