SHE Leads!

Yes, women at the grassroot level lead but they are often absent from meaningful political participation. To strengthen their political literacy and leadership, we organised a two-day training session titled “SHE Leads: Capacity Building Training on Advancing Women’s Political Agency and Leadership” at Rangpur on 18-19 May.

This initiative created a space for dialogue on the structural and social barriers that continue to limit women’s political leadership and the pathways to overcome them. With a focus on practical skills such as advocacy, networking and understanding legal rights, we aimed to equip women to become more effective political leaders.

The event was jointly organised by ActionAid Bangladesh and WAVE Foundation, with support from the UN Electoral Assistance Project. This initiative is part of the GRIP Project to promote gender-responsive and inclusive decision-making in Bangladesh.
