World Refugee Day 2026

Today, 20 June, the world observes World Refugee Day, a day dedicated to honoring the strength, courage, and resilience of millions of refugees and displaced people worldwide.

At Green Health Global, we stand in solidarity with all those who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict, violence, persecution, climate change, and humanitarian crises. Every individual deserves access to safety, healthcare, education, food security, and a life of dignity.

As climate-related disasters continue to displace communities across the globe, it is more important than ever to strengthen the connection between health, climate resilience, and humanitarian action. Together, we must work towards a future where vulnerable populations are protected, supported, and empowered to rebuild their lives.

On this World Refugee Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to compassion, inclusion, and human dignity for all.

“Solidarity with Refugees. Hope for Humanity.”

Fever? Sore throat? Feeling unwell?
Don’t rush to antibiotics.

Many people take antibiotics without a doctor’s advice — but this is creating a silent global danger called Antibiotic Resistance.

When antibiotics are misused or stopped early, bacteria become stronger and stop responding to medicines.
The result?
Simple infections may one day become untreatable.

WHO calls it a “Silent Pandemic.”
❌ Antibiotics do NOT work for viral fever, cold, or flu
❌ Never take antibiotics without prescription
❌ Always complete the full course

In Bangladesh, this problem is already growing silently.
💡 Use antibiotics wisely.
💡 Protect your future health.
Because when antibiotics stop working… even small infections can become deadly.

🌍💚 Climate Action Starts with Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions 💚🌍

Climate change is no longer a distant threat—it is a reality affecting our health, environment, food systems, and future generations.

Greenhouse Gases (GHGs), including carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄), and nitrous oxide (N₂O), are among the leading drivers of global warming. Human activities such as fossil fuel consumption, industrial emissions, deforestation, and unsustainable agricultural practices continue to increase the concentration of these gases in our atmosphere.

The consequences are already visible: 🔥 Rising global temperatures
🌊 Increased flooding and sea-level rise
🌪️ More frequent extreme weather events
🌱 Threats to food security and biodiversity
🩺 Growing health risks for vulnerable communities

Addressing climate change requires collective action. Governments, organizations, businesses, and individuals all have a role to play in reducing emissions and promoting sustainable solutions.
✅ Support renewable energy
✅ Plant and protect trees
✅ Reduce waste and pollution
✅ Promote sustainable lifestyles
✅ Raise awareness about climate and health

Every action matters. Together, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect our planet, and create a healthier, more sustainable future for all.

🌍🩺 Antibiotics: A Shared Responsibility for a Healthier Future 🩺🌍

Antibiotics have transformed modern medicine, saving millions of lives and making once-deadly infections treatable. Yet today, one of humanity’s greatest public health achievements is under threat.

The misuse and overuse of antibiotics are accelerating Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)—a growing global crisis that makes infections harder, more expensive, and sometimes impossible to treat. According to global health experts, AMR threatens decades of medical progress and places the health of future generations at risk.

Children are among the most vulnerable. Not every fever, cough, cold, or viral illness requires antibiotics. When antibiotics are used unnecessarily, bacteria can develop resistance, reducing the effectiveness of these life-saving medicines when they are truly needed.

We all have a role to play:
✅ Use antibiotics only when prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional.
✅ Follow the prescribed dose and complete the full course.
✅ Never self-medicate or share antibiotics with others.
✅ Raise awareness within families and communities about responsible antibiotic use.
✅ Support efforts to combat antimicrobial resistance through education and prevention.
Every responsible decision made today helps preserve the effectiveness of antibiotics for tomorrow.

Together, we can protect children, strengthen communities, and safeguard one of the world's most valuable medical resources.
