Golam Rahman Bhuiyan , (Bengali- ড. মোঃ গোলাম রহমান ভূঁইয়া ) a human rights activist and Advocate in Bangladesh Supreme Court and the founder and Chairman of manobadhikar O Samaj Unnayan Sangstha – MOSUS. He is also Vice Presdidnet of the Coordinating Council for HUman rights in Bangladesh (CCHRB) (Bengali বাংলাদেশ মানবাধিকার সমন্বয় পরিষদ – বামাসপ), a Federation of 350 human rights and developmen
t organizations. He is the Editor and Publisher of Weekly Ain Pakkha and monthly Banglar mail. He is also Editor of the Appex law Report (ALR) and Jogosutra (Dhaka District NGO Directory). Golam Rahman Bhuiyan was born on 01 January, 1969 in Village Kharihor, Thana Shahrasti, District- Chandpur. Vision-

To increase awareness among the community leaders including religious and local government / public representatives and influential groups of the community to create enabling environment to reduce gender discrimination and gender baseld violence agaisnt women & promote MDGS equal protection of law. Manobadikar O Samaj Unnayan Sangstha-MOSUS – is trying to improve the socio- economic status & increase literacy rate of rural destitute women & children, MOSUS has set the following objectives to achieve its goal. To develop alternative leadership amongst the poor nad marginalized people of the society for their empowerment. Through organizing, empowering and strengthening the decision making power of the poor strive to creat a leeway for the underprivileged to have their access to utilize the available resources and opportunities of the society. To assist disadvantaged men, women and children in organizing themselves to increase the opportunities of education, employment and income for strengthening their role in the decision making process. To increase literacy and awareness level of the vulnerable women and children through non formal educiaton. To proveide training for capacity building to impleement various income generating activities. To undertake activities for supply of safe water and sanitaiton program for healthy human beings. To enchance the capacity of staff by providing both HRD and skills training for active facilitation in development activities run by the organization. To promote good governance and human rights programs for strengthening local goverment institution (Union parishad) towards resolving social confliect for promoting rural peace. To create better opportunity for the disable to contribute their efforts for the community as a essential part of the society. To increase social status of the vulnerable groups by providing housing faciliites. Help to install improved cook stove to reduce fuel cost as well as protect good health and environment. To reduce myrid violence, discriminations and deprivation with protecting abuse of human rights. Strengthen local goverment to promote good governance and human rights activities among the rural communities. Work through networking approach for service delivery for the poor and create livelihood and housing opportunities for vulnerable communities in rual set up. Work for risk reduction of environmental degradation and mistigate the damage of the natural disaster. MOSUS’S objective is human rights oriented these are:
