This last week, we completed our 50th FDF. Yes, that's half a century! Unbelievable as it may sound, this is where we have reached now and we couldn't be prouder of the achievements this has brought us.

And all of this has been possible beacause of thr power of volunteer - everyone who have ever showed up to an FDF - YOU guys are the ones who have made it possible for us to get to Feed Doggo Fridays 50!

And on that occasion, we would love to appreciate the leading volunteers after 50 FDFs with this small token of love and respect. You guys continue inspiring hundreds more. Your records are unimaginably impressive and the examples you guys have set truly unmatchable.

May the power of FDFs continue to grow with more flair and flourish for ages to come 🧡!

Day 1 of anything always feels extra special. When we start a new journey of any kind, we usually tend to be super excited and highly optimistic. And so were we when we launched Feed Doggo Fridays on 17th September, 2021. And now, almost 50 FDFs later, here we are - still growing ever so positive. With the core message of spreading nothing but kindness and love, we have gone through a quarter less than two years of struggles, failures, achievements and happiness. And this has all led to a glorious new horizon: FDF 50 this week paves the way for the future generation of The Feed Doggo Project to take us forward into newer realms and towards greater trajectories. With that said, we want to invite you all to the journey of Unit One - One Action Foundation’s successor. Hoping to see as many of you as possible this friday at FDF!

Doing distribution events of any sort has always been a fulfilling activity for us here at Unit One. From our food supplies distribution runs in 2020 to our iftaar distribution campaign last year - we've always pushed ourselves to excel beyond expectations and leave a positive impact on as many people as possible.

At such, we were delighted to get the opportunity to run an iftaar distribution campaign this year too!

Last year, we were fortunate enough to distribute around 120 packets of iftaar. This year, we challenged ourselves to 500 packets. And even though that seemed like a daunting number, we wanted to take the challenge on. And up until 3 days before the donation collection deadline, even 100 packets seemed like a distant dream.

However, all of your wonderful support, networking, fundraising and ofcourse donations pulled through big time in the last three days and we ended up raising ৳29,220 in the end! With the money, we were able to distribute 300 packets of vegetable egg khichuri as iftaar to underprivileged people and pedestrians across Dhanmondi, Rayerbazaar, Mitali Road, Mohammadpur and Adabor on 15 April, 2023.

In total, ৳22,420 was used in the distribution run since the remaining ৳6800 was donated after deadline was over. We will use this remaining amount in June in our next distribution campaign and can hopefully ensure a much bigger and better run then!

As always, we barely took any photos of personally distributing the food, but here below are a few snaps from the day.

Lastly, we are extremely grateful to all our beloved volunteers who worked super hard that day in record heat - packaging and distributing the iftaar with the highest level of dedication and care. You make us who we are 🧡

Happy Labour Day to all the hardworking individuals across the world! On this special day, we recognize the immense contributions of workers who make our society function and prosper. From the doctors and nurses who care for our health, to the farmers who cultivate our food, and to the essential workers who keep our communities running - we owe them all a debt of gratitude.

At our NGO, we are proud to have a team of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of animals. Our FeedDoggoProject is just one example of their selflessness and commitment towards making the world a better place. On this Labour Day, let's celebrate the efforts of all workers, and pledge to support their rights and well-being. Thank you to all the workers who keep our world moving forward!
