🌍 Children of Gaza – A Human Rights Crisis (August 2025)

1. Right to Food & Survival – Violated
• Since March 2, 2025, no humanitarian aid has been allowed into Gaza, triggering a man-made famine.
• Over 71,000 children under 5 now suffer from acute malnutrition, including 14,000+ in critical condition.
• Food prices have skyrocketed up to 1,400%, making basic bread or rice unreachable for most.
• Children are dying from hunger — 89 confirmed child deaths so far, and the number is rising.

❌ This violates Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR):
“Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for health and well-being, including food and medical care.”

⸻

2. Right to Health – Collapsing
• Over 85% of Gaza’s hospitals are bombed, blocked, or shut down.
• Injured and sick children are left untreated, dying from wounds that are otherwise survivable.
• Newborns and infants are being fed with unsafe substitutes, risking infection, organ failure, or death.

❌ This violates Article 24 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC):
“Children have the right to the best possible health and access to health services.”

⸻

3. Right to Shelter & Safety – Denied
• 1.9 million people (90% of Gaza’s population) have been forced from their homes.
• Many children are now living in destroyed buildings, tents, or crowded refugee shelters.
• These places are unsafe, lack water, electricity, and privacy — not suitable for children.

❌ This violates Article 27 of CRC:
“Every child has the right to a standard of living adequate for their physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development.”

⸻

4. Right to Education – Erased
• Schools have been destroyed or turned into shelters.
• No formal education is happening for hundreds of thousands of children.
• A generation is growing up without access to learning, books, or classrooms.

❌ This violates Article 28 of CRC:
“Children have the right to education.”

⸻

5. Right to Psychological Protection – Ignored
• 1.2 million children need urgent mental health support.
• They suffer from severe PTSD, nightmares, panic attacks, speech loss, and even suicidal thoughts.
• With almost no therapists, most children are left to suffer in silence.

❌ This violates Article 39 of CRC:
“Children who have experienced armed conflict have the right to psychological recovery and reintegration.”

⸻

🛑 This is a Human Rights Emergency.

Gaza’s children are not just victims of war — they are victims of a global failure to protect basic human rights.

⸻

📢 What Can We Do?

âś… 1. Raise Awareness
• Share verified news, real stories, and facts.
• Speak up against the silence.

âś… 2. Donate
• Support trusted organizations like:
• UNICEF
• WFP (World Food Programme)
• UNRWA
• Gaza Community Mental Health Programme
• Action Against Hunger

âś… 3. Advocate for Ceasefire
• Demand that governments and global bodies enforce:
• Immediate humanitarian access
• Unhindered food and medical deliveries
• Protection of schools and hospitals

âś… 4. Support Mental Health Care
• Back community-based centers providing therapy, play spaces, and trauma counseling.

⸻

🙏 Let the world not say, “We didn’t know.”

Every child in Gaza has a right to live, learn, heal, and dream — just like any other child in the world.

💔 “Their only crime was being born in Gaza.”

We can do so much for Gaza. Here’s how:

⸻

1. Pray From the Depth of Your Heart
• Du’a is powerful. Pray for Gaza every day—after every salah, during sujood, or before iftar.

“Ya Allah, protect the people of Gaza. Grant them peace, strength, and freedom. Heal their wounds and accept their martyrs.”

⸻

2. Donate What You Can
• Even small donations help when made with sincerity.
• Support trustworthy charities giving food, medical aid, and shelter.

Examples:
• Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF)
• Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP)
• Islamic Relief
• UNRWA
• LaunchGood (check for active Gaza campaigns)

⸻

3. Speak the Truth
• Use your voice. Share what’s happening in Gaza with your friends, family, and followers.
• Post on social media, join conversations, and stand up for justice.

Even one voice can echo far.

⸻

4. Boycott With Intention
• Avoid supporting brands that fund or support the occupation.
• Look into the BDS Movement (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) and make ethical choices with your spending.

⸻

5. Educate Yourself and Others
• Read about Palestine’s history and current struggles.
• Watch documentaries, read books, follow Palestinian activists.
• Teach others what you learn. Even one conversation can open hearts.

⸻

6. Support Palestinian Creators
• Follow Palestinian artists, journalists, and businesses.
• Buy from them, share their work, help amplify their voice.

⸻

7. Stay Consistent
• Gaza needs long-term support—not just during crises.
• Keep making du’a, keep sharing truth, and keep your heart connected.

⸻

You don’t need to be on the front lines to fight for justice.
Even from your room, your prayers, your words, and your choices can carry love and strength to Gaza.

Palestinian journalist Khalil Abu Elias posted on Facebook:

"A few hours and Gaza will be erased. You will only find us in paradise. Farewell to the most unjust 'Arabs' history has ever known."

A Palestinian girl in Gaza wrote:

"Our news will no longer bother you from now on. It’s just a matter of days, and everyone will be gone.”

The time for silence has passed. The people of Palestine are crying out for justice, for peace, and for the world to see their struggle. We cannot turn our backs on a nation that endures bombings, displacement, and daily fear. This is not just a crisis in one part of the world—it is a test of our collective humanity.

When children lose their homes, when families are separated, when entire generations grow up knowing only conflict, how can we remain silent? Every voice matters. The voices of the oppressed must echo in our hearts, pushing us to demand action, accountability, and change.

To remain silent is to allow suffering. Speak up for Palestine, share their stories, demand justice. Let the world know that their fight is not forgotten, their pain is felt, and that the call for freedom will grow louder until peace is restored.

Deadly floods leave millions stranded in Bangladesh

More than four million people have been affected by the floods triggered by torrential rains, with hundreds of homes under water.

At least 13 people have been killed and 4.5 million affected by floods triggered by heavy rains in eastern Bangladesh, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief says.

Floods triggered by torrential rains have swamped swaths of low-lying Bangladesh and rescuers are scrambling to evacuate flooded communities.

The ministry said on Friday that nearly 190,000 people were taken to emergency relief shelters and 11 of the country’s 64 districts were affected by the flooding.

Feni, about 100km (60 miles) northwest of the main port city of Chittagong, was worst hit.

The South Asian nation of 170 million people, crisscrossed by hundreds of rivers, has seen frequent floods in recent decades.

It is among the countries most vulnerable to disasters and climate change, according to the Global Climate Risk Index.

Three of those who died drowned in floodwaters in the southeastern region of Cox’s Bazar, chief administrative officer of Ramu district Rasedul Islam said.

The annual monsoon rains cause widespread destruction every year, but climate change is shifting weather patterns and increasing the number of extreme weather events.

The army and the navy have been deployed, with speedboats and helicopters rescuing those stranded by the swollen rivers.

Happy World Environment Day🌎.
One of the first conditions of happiness is that the link between man and nature shall not be broken,” said Leo Tolstoy. The relationship between human beings and the environment is important and it is necessary that they understand and work to keep it strong.

World Environment Day is celebrated on the 5th of June every year. It is celebrated to raise awareness and to take actions to conserve the environment. It was initiated in 1972 by the UN Assembly and has come a long way since. The concern for preserving the environment did not just start then. People have been taking initiatives to do whatever is possible on their own, to make life better for everyone by creating awareness about preserving nature. Margaret Mead said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” and that is exactly what all of us are here to do today. Let us join together and do our part in making our environment and our life on this planet as wondrous as it should be.
