The situation is crucial in different sectors of Bangladesh because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Many poor people are suffering from hunger as they are losing their income source for lockdown. In this condition, an engineer who passed from BUET, Ahmed Javed Jamal, took the initiative and created a group named "Songjog: connecting people" on Facebook. Professionals like engineers, doctors, architects,
and people from different professions got connected under the same platform. Just after the establishment, this group distributed almost 7 thousand medical gowns, 10 thousand masks, and two thousand bottles of hand sanitizer in nearly 100 different hospitals. They also helped people in renovating their devastated houses by the cyclone Amphan. Songjog started providing food to the people suffering from hunger due to the pandemic and arranging jobs for the people who were sacked during the pandemic by different offices. At the same time, they offered monetary help to the non-MPO teachers of the primary education sector and donated six thousand blankets to the poor people. This group had set up an ICU system in Noakhlai, Bangladesh. They gave two High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) in two hospitals of Khulna and Shylet. For supporting emergency patients suffering from breathing problems because of lung infection induced by covid-19, Songjog has an emergency oxygen support service. There are more than 350 oxygen cylinders and 15 oxygen concentrator machines in Dhaka and outside the capital. Songjog Job and carrier team is helping people to find a suitable job who lost their working position amid the pandemic. During the pandemic, Songjog took initiatives like "Bijoy Olympiad 2020", "Omor Ekushe 2021," and "Independence Day Celebration program for kids to improve their mental health. Besides aiding people who can't afford their treatment and on the verge of death, "Subah Jahan- Songjog Medical Support Initiative" works for them. They are providing financial help to these patients to avail themselves of the proper treatment via crowdfunding. The dream of helping the helpless people of Javed Jamal has become the dream of many connected to this platform. Some are working for Blood and plasma support. The doctors of the "Songjog Medical Helpline team" support people by giving important and emergency suggestions on medical needs. For proving corona-affected people, some brave and kind-hearted people are working on the oxygen team. Many young people are joining the Caregiving team of Songjog. The brave young’s of the "Songjog Express Rider" are taking oxygen cylinders from door to door. People from different corners of the country are joining as volunteers are helping Songjog to step forward.
