Concerned Women for Family Development (CWFD) is looking for 3 female Psychosocial Counselors to support disaster-affected communities in Bandarban, Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar.

Position at a Glance

Position: Psychosocial Counselor – Female

Employment: Full-time, up to 31 December 2026
Salary: BDT 70,000/month including applicable benefits
Experience: Minimum 2 years
Education: Master’s degree in Psychology/Clinical Psychology/Counselling Psychology/Educational Psychology

Candidates with experience in MHPSS, counselling, PFA, humanitarian response, GBV, protection and case management are encouraged to apply. Female candidates from the respective districts are highly encouraged.

This historic day recognizes the leadership, contributions, knowledge, resilience, and rights of Indigenous women and girls across the world. It is also an opportunity to honour their vital role in strengthening communities, protecting territories, preserving ancestral knowledge, and advancing the rights of Indigenous peoples.

In Bangladesh, CWFD reaffirms its commitment to creating opportunities for Indigenous women and girls to lead, participate, access education and economic opportunities, and exercise their rights with dignity and equality.

We stand with Indigenous women and girls in Bangladesh and around the world, amplifying their voices and supporting their leadership for a more inclusive, equitable and rights-based future.

He was a dedicated and highly respected professional in the fields of development and humanitarian services. His longstanding commitment to serving people, professional dedication, and strong humanitarian values will continue to make him a memorable figure among his colleagues and everyone associated with the development sector.

His passing has created a profound void in the development and humanitarian community that will be difficult to fill. His contributions and memories will remain with us and will always be remembered with the deepest respect.

We are pleased to announce a new collaboration between the Concerned Women for Family Development (CWFD) and the University of Padua, Italy, aimed at creating meaningful opportunities for learning, professional development, and knowledge exchange.

Under this collaboration, CWFD will host psychology students from the University of Padua for internship placements at Nibedita Mental Health Centre providing them with practical exposure to mental health services and opportunities to engage with CWFD’s mental health programmes and initiatives.

We look forward to welcoming the students and building a meaningful and mutually beneficial partnership with the University of Padua.

CWFD Joins the FAME Phase 2 Journey Towards Women's Economic Empowerment

We are delighted to share that Concerned Women for Family Development (CWFD) has officially joined the FAME (Feminism: Actions and Mobilisation for an Inclusive Economy) Phase 2 initiative by participating in the Phase 2 Launch & CSO First Tranche Cheque Handover Ceremony.

Through this partnership, we look forward to creating greater opportunities for women to participate meaningfully in economic development and contribute to building a more inclusive society.
