🇧🇩 𝟐𝟔 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 | 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 🇧🇩

A day of pride, a day of sacrifice, a day of freedom.

On this historic day in 1971, Bangladesh declared its independence, marking the beginning of a courageous journey towards freedom, dignity, and sovereignty. It is a day when the spirit of a nation rose above fear, oppression, and injustice.

𝗪𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆𝗿𝘀 whose sacrifices made our independence possible. Their courage, their dreams, and their love for the motherland live on in every heartbeat of Bangladesh.

𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁; it is a responsibility of the present. It reminds us to stand for truth, uphold justice, and contribute to the progress of our beloved nation.

𝟐𝟓 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 — 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲

Today, we remember with deep sorrow the tragic night of 25th March 1971, when the brutal 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 was carried out, marking one of the darkest chapters in our history.

On this night, countless innocent lives were lost, and the voice of a nation was attempted to be silenced through violence and oppression. Their sacrifice and suffering remain a solemn reminder of the price of our freedom.

We pay our deepest respect to the martyrs who laid down their lives and honor their memory with gratitude and humility. Their courage and sacrifice continue to inspire us to stand for justice, truth, and humanity.

Happy Birthday to Md. Raiyan Chowdhury!

Motijheel Model Debating Society (MMDS) extends its heartfelt birthday wishes to Md. Raiyan Chowdhury, our respected Assistant General Secretary (Session: 2024–2025). As a dedicated member of our leadership team, Raiyan has shown sincerity, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to the values and spirit that define MMDS.

Through his hard work and supportive nature, he continues to play an important role in strengthening the unity and activities of our debating family. His enthusiasm and dedication truly reflect the passion that keeps our society moving forward.

Motijheel Model Debating Society (MMDS) proudly extends its warmest birthday wishes to 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐫 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐑𝐢𝐛𝐮, our esteemed Vice President (Session: 2020–2021). A dedicated mentor, passionate debater, and ever-supportive senior, he has always been a source of inspiration and guidance for the members of MMDS. On this special day, we celebrate not only his birthday but also his continuous contribution to the spirit of debate, leadership, and bonds within our society.

After successfully completing his SSC from Motijheel Model School and College in 2021, he went on to achieve remarkable academic success in HSC from Dhaka Imperial College with outstanding results. Currently, he is studying in Mechanical Engineering at RUET, one of the leading engineering universities in Bangladesh, reflecting his commitment to excellence and perseverance in both academic and personal endeavors.

His debating skills, intellectual clarity, and exceptional ability to engage and motivate members have always been truly admirable. Through every high and low, MMDS has found him standing beside us with unwavering dedication to society. We express our heartfelt gratitude for his constant support and wish him a future filled with success, happiness, and greater achievements. Happy Birthday once again!

Join the Basic Debate Training Session of the 4th MMDS Intra Debate Festival - 2026 and complete your foundational preparation before stepping into the competitive rounds.

For this essential session, we are honored to have 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐫 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐑𝐢𝐛𝐮, former debater of 𝐌𝐌𝐃𝐒 𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄 and former 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐌𝐃𝐒, with us. Drawing from his debating experience, he will help participants strengthen their basics, think more critically, and present their ideas with greater structure and confidence.

Happy Birthday to Shafin Hawlader Talha!

Today we celebrate the birthday of Shafin Hawlader Talha, the Vice President of Motijheel Model Debating Society of the 2024-25 session. Shafin has been an important part of our leadership team this year. With his hard work and dedication, he has helped guide MMDS through an exciting time. He brings energy and commitment to everything he does, and we can see that in the way he takes care of the club's work. On his birthday, we want to thank him for all that he has done for us.

Being Vice President is not easy, but Shafin handles his responsibilities with care and focus. He is always ready to support the club whenever we need him. Whether it's organizing events, helping with planning, or just being there for the team, Shafin shows up with a positive attitude. His presence makes a real difference in MMDS, and everyone in the club appreciates how much he cares about making things work well. He is the kind of leader who listens and helps others grow.
