A meaningful side event of Bangladesh Youth COP 2026, focused on 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (ACE)!

Organized by Torongo Foundation & YEDO at Global Platform Bangladesh, the session brought together educators, writers, activists, creative and media voices, community leaders, youth, and international participants, including voices from Palestine.

Through meaningful discussion and diverse perspectives, we explored the importance of climate education, awareness, public participation, access to information, capacity building, and international cooperation in turning climate knowledge into meaningful action.
The voices and reflections from this session will contribute to our ACE position paper, carrying forward the perspectives and demands shared by participants.Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined, shared, listened, and made this space meaningful. 🫶🏻

Side event of Bangladesh Youth COP 2026, focused on 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, organized by YEDO Bangladesh and Torongo Foundation at Global Platform Bangladesh.

Action for Climate Empowerment is about education, awareness and public participation, making sure people understand the climate crisis well enough to act on it, and are given real space to raise their voice in decisions that affect their lives. The session will prioritize discussions on pressing climate issues, present ongoing research and grassroots initiatives, and bring together youth, educators and community voices to explore how empowerment translates into real climate action on the ground.

This year, Brighters Youth Network along with ActionAid Bangladesh is proud to organize Bangladesh YouthCOP alongside 20 incredible youth-led and community organizations from across the country. where YEDO Bangladesh, Eco-Network Global, ARISE Youth Foundation to Ashar Alo, BMKS, CJUS, , FFCRJ, GPYDS, Kashful Foundation, Mission Green Bangladesh, OAB Foundation, Odommo '19, SHBO, Rupantor, Torongo Foundation, YASD, YJF, YASF, and YOUCAN, this is what collective climate action looks like.

A decade after Paris, young people across Bangladesh are coming together to reflect on the commitments made and the reality on ground, and to shape what comes next.

NO NEW FOSSIL FUEL PROJECTS!

Today, we stood together at the National Press Club, Dhaka, demanding no new fossil fuel projects in Bangladesh and a faster transition towards renewable energy.

Proudly, YEDO Bangladesh was one of the 42 organizing organizations behind this collective movement.

We are not against development-we are demanding clean, sustainable and just development that protects both people and future generations.

No more fossil-fuel lock-in.
