Bangladesh National Federation of the Deaf Bangladesh National Federation of the Deaf (BNFD) is the first WFD.

It is the mother of associations of the Deaf in Bangladesh, established on 25th December 1963 targeted Deaf people to be self-reliant through education, trainings and skill development.

As the youth of the deaf community, we know the power of our language. Bangla Sign Language (BDSL) is not just a tool for communication—it is the foundation of our identity, our culture, and our rights. We are proud to advocate for a future where every young Deaf person can thrive.

"No Human Rights Without Sign Language Rights." This powerful phrase reminds us that access to sign language is a fundamental human right, without which Deaf individuals cannot fully participate in society.
