The NGO platform (NGOP) in Cox's Bazar organized a Donor dialogue and Stakeholder consultation on Humanitarian Partnership in the Rohingya Response, along with a Marketplace to showcase the achievements of its member organizations. A total of 238 representatives from 72 organizations attended the meeting, including the NGO platform steering committee, SEG, and ROCT representatives. Sesame Workshop actively participated in the dialogue and the marketplace and showcased SW's program results and content. Talat Mahmud, Country Director of Sesame Workshop Bangladesh, actively participated and contributed to the Donor Dialogue. Representatives from the EU, FCDO, DFAT, and SIDA were present in the dialogue, and the NGOP organized the event.
Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC), was present as the chief guest in this program. During the dialogue session, the donor representatives expressed their interest in continuing support for the Humanitarian response in Cox's Bazar. The NGO Platform was established 3 years ago to promote the participation, voices, and leadership of national and local NGOs in the Rohingya Response.
The Marketplace was part of the event to showcase Response activities in Cox's Bazar, where 23 selected organizations set up stalls in the marketplace, and Sesame Workshop was one of them. Sesame Workshop displayed books, ECD Home kit materials, other programs & technical contents & documents, and played WPL video continuously.
After the Donor dialogue, the participants, including donor representatives from EU, FCDO, DFAT, SIDA, and officials from the Government of Bangladesh, including the RRRC, visited the SWB/PtL stall, and SWB team member Md. Moniruzzaman Khan briefed PtL activities, contents, and results to the visitors.
RRRC showed interest about SWB’s latest publication of a set of 10 storybooks for children. Those stories were collected from the Rohingya community and illustrated by the Rohingya children in the camps in Cox's Bazar. We presented two sets of storybooks to the RRRC.
