জানুয়ারি মাসটি বিশ্বব্যাপী জরায়ুমুখের ক্যান্সার সচেতনতা মাস হিসাবে বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থার দ্বারা পালন করা হয়। জরায়ুমুখ ক্যানসারের ঝুঁকি, প্রতিরোধ এবং চিকিৎসা সম্পর্কে মানুষকে সচেতন করা এর লক্ষ্য। জরায়ুমুখ ক্যানসারের মূল কারণ, হিউম্যান পাপিলোমাভাইরাস (HPV), এই মাসে জনগণকে প্রতিরোধমূলক উপায় বাড়ানোর সাথে সাথে নিয়মিত চেক-আপ এর জন্য উৎসাহিত করা হয়ে থাকে।
