We call upon all democracy-loving people in America and Europe to raise their voices against the ongoing anti-democratic and anti-humanitarian activities taking place in Bangladesh. Today, Bangladesh is increasingly being held hostage by extremist and militant religious forces, while its thousand-year-old traditions of art, culture, and pluralism are under serious threat.
The sovereignty and democratic foundations of Bangladesh are being undermined. At this critical moment, we urge all people of conscience not to remain silent. Silence in the face of injustice only strengthens oppression and intolerance.
As citizens of a humane and civilized world, we ask you to speak out. Raise awareness within your communities, engage with your political leaders, human rights organizations, civil society groups, and democratic institutions. Urge your governments to reject policies of domination, interference, and power politics that contribute to instability and division.
The people of Bangladesh deserve peace, democracy, freedom of expression, cultural dignity, and the right to live without fear of extremism and violence. Stand with the voices of humanity, justice, and democratic values before it is too late.
