বাংলাদেশ আজ এক শোকাবহ অধ্যায়ের সাক্ষী। সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী, বিএনপির চেয়ারপারসন ও গণতান্ত্রিক আন্দোলনের অন্যতম যোদ্ধা বেগম খালেদা জিয়া ইন্তেকাল করেছেন (ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন)। তাঁর মৃত্যুতে জাতি হারাল এক আপসহীন নেতৃত্ব, যিনি বহু ঝড়-ঝঞ্ঝার মধ্যেও নিজের বিশ্বাস ও আদর্শে অবিচল ছিলেন।

নারীর ক্ষমতায়নে তাঁর অবদান এর জন‍্য তিনি স্মরণীয় হয়ে থাকবেন ।

এই গভীর শোকের মুহূর্তে আমরা তাঁর পরিবারের সদস্য, দলীয় নেতাকর্মী এবং শোকাহত দেশবাসীর প্রতি আন্তরিক সমবেদনা জানাই।
মহান আল্লাহ তাআলা যেন তাঁকে মাগফিরাত নসিব করেন, জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌস দান করেন এবং তাঁর আত্মাকে শান্তিতে রাখেন।
