At Noor Vila, TV Road, Rampura, Dhaka, two meaningful events came together to beautifully demonstrate the power of compassion, inclusion, and collective responsibility toward marginalized children.

🎂 A Birthday Turned into a Gift of Hope
Eminent cultural personality and social organizer Mr. Menon Chowdhury chose to celebrate his birthday not in private, but with children from ODIR Special School and Dishari Pathkoli Night School. Sharing cake, smiles, and laughter with children with disabilities and street-connected learners, he sent a powerful message: true celebration lies in sharing joy with those who need it most.

🎒 As part of the occasion, school bags and educational materials were distributed to all students—reinforcing the belief that education, dignity, and opportunity must be accessible to every child, regardless of background or ability.

🎶 The event was enriched by the presence of social and cultural organizers, musicians, and dance artists. Distinguished attendees included Shakil Azad Monon, Founder Principal of ODIR & Country Leader of GivingTuesday Bangladesh; Kohinoor Azad Molly, President of ODIR; and Shamima Akter, Founder of Dishari Pathkoli Night School.
The program was jointly organized by ODIR Special School and Dishari Mohila Kallyan Sangstha, reflecting the strength of collaboration.

🎉 Celebrating 3 Years of Dishari Pathkoli Night School
At the same venue, the 3rd Anniversary of Dishari Pathkoli Night School was also observed—marking its continued commitment to education, care, and protection for street-connected children.

👤 Special Guest: Shakil Azad Monon, Country Leader, GivingTuesday Bangladesh
The discussion session was chaired by Shamima Akter, with active participation from students, parents, cultural figures, and community members. Food support for the children was generously provided by Mr. Sardar Tamij Uddin.

🌍 Today, the world celebrates GivingTuesday Celebration Day 2025 — the 14th Global Day of Generosity!
On this powerful global movement of compassion and kindness, the GivingTuesday Bangladesh team, our nationwide partnership organizations, and dedicated community leaders came together to spread generosity through a wide range of impactful social campaigns.

💙 Highlights of Today’s Celebration:

• University campus leaders leading inspiring campus campaigns

✨ Various organizations, local government officials (Social Services Officers), District Commissioners (DC), UNOs, doctors from medical colleges, social influencers, and prominent community figures actively participated in amplifying the spirit of generosity.

🏥 Special Highlight:
In collaboration with ODIR (Organization for Disabled Improvement and Rights), GivingTuesday Bangladesh joyfully celebrated the day with Dhaka Medical College and the Wheetchsir Cricket Team, creating a vibrant and meaningful celebration of generosity.

GivingTuesday Bangladesh team celebrated GivingTuesday 2025 this afternoon at the Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel - Wheelchair Cricket Team Captain Md. Mohsin and Co-Captain Mr. Ripon and a friend of ours who is visiting Bangladesh as a paraplegic living in Switzerland named Andrea Federico. He is interested in creating a photography project titled "Disability. Courage. Bangladesh". Through this project, his goal is to inspire and empower wheelchair users to increase their skills and courage and encourage them to live fully instead of just surviving. ❤️

🌍 GivingTuesday Bangladesh | District Learning & Sharing Call – Netrokona

GivingTuesday Bangladesh-এর জেলা পর্যায়ের নেটওয়ার্ক সম্প্রসারণ কার্যক্রমের অংশ হিসেবে নেত্রকোনা জেলার SERRA (Social Education and Rural Revival Association) এর উদ্যোগে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো একটি অনুপ্রেরণাদায়ক Learning & Sharing Call.

এই সেশনে GivingTuesday Bangladesh-এর Country Leader শাকিল আজাদ মনন অংশগ্রহণ করেন এবং জেলার ৩৪টি স্থানীয় সামাজিক উন্নয়ন ও স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠনের প্রধান, তরুণ নেতৃত্ব, সাংস্কৃতিক কর্মী ও স্থানীয় সংবাদ মাধ্যমের প্রতিনিধিদের সাথে আলোচনায় যুক্ত হন।

এছাড়াও ODIR-এর সহযোগী প্রতিষ্ঠান Bangladesh Early Education Research Institute (BEERI)-এর কার্যক্রম ও সদস্যপদ প্রাপ্তি প্রক্রিয়া তুলে ধরা হয়।

As part of the nationwide expansion of the GivingTuesday movement, GivingTuesday Bangladesh, in collaboration with SERRA (Social Education and Rural Revival Association), hosted a Learning & Sharing Call in Netrokona District.

Mr. Shakil Azad Monon, Country Leader of GivingTuesday Bangladesh, led an engaging discussion with 34 local CSO and NGO leaders, youth representatives, cultural activists, and local media professionals, focusing on:

• Expanding the GivingTuesday movement across local networks

• Strengthening partnership engagement

• Preparing for the upcoming GivingTuesday Celebration Day on December 3, 2025

• Introducing Co-Fundraising opportunities with global leaders through an inspiring Pitch Deck Presentation

Local volunteer organizations expressed strong interest in joining the fundraising collaboration, while youth participants showed enthusiasm to engage in this global generosity movement.

The event also introduced Bangladesh Early Education Research Institute- BEERI— an affiliate of ODIR Bangladesh — where participants began their membership registration. Later, Mr. Kamruzzaman, Founder Advisor of BEERI from Germany joined virtually and shared insights about BEERI’s upcoming initiatives and invited all to actively participate.
