đ Celebrating Generosity, Inclusion & Hope
đ¤ A Shared Commitment to Children on the Margins
At Noor Vila, TV Road, Rampura, Dhaka, two meaningful events came together to beautifully demonstrate the power of compassion, inclusion, and collective responsibility toward marginalized children.
đ A Birthday Turned into a Gift of Hope
Eminent cultural personality and social organizer Mr. Menon Chowdhury chose to celebrate his birthday not in private, but with children from ODIR Special School and Dishari Pathkoli Night School. Sharing cake, smiles, and laughter with children with disabilities and street-connected learners, he sent a powerful message: true celebration lies in sharing joy with those who need it most.
đ As part of the occasion, school bags and educational materials were distributed to all studentsâreinforcing the belief that education, dignity, and opportunity must be accessible to every child, regardless of background or ability.
đļ The event was enriched by the presence of social and cultural organizers, musicians, and dance artists. Distinguished attendees included Shakil Azad Monon, Founder Principal of ODIR & Country Leader of GivingTuesday Bangladesh; Kohinoor Azad Molly, President of ODIR; and Shamima Akter, Founder of Dishari Pathkoli Night School.
The program was jointly organized by ODIR Special School and Dishari Mohila Kallyan Sangstha, reflecting the strength of collaboration.
đ Celebrating 3 Years of Dishari Pathkoli Night School
At the same venue, the 3rd Anniversary of Dishari Pathkoli Night School was also observedâmarking its continued commitment to education, care, and protection for street-connected children.
đ¤ Chief Guest: Mr. Sardar Tamij Uddin, recently retired Additional Inspector General, Bangladesh Police
đ¤ Special Guest: Shakil Azad Monon, Country Leader, GivingTuesday Bangladesh
The discussion session was chaired by Shamima Akter, with active participation from students, parents, cultural figures, and community members. Food support for the children was generously provided by Mr. Sardar Tamij Uddin.
đ More Than an EventâA Movement of Generosity
As a GivingTuesday Bangladesh partnership collaborator, Dishari Mohila Unnayan Sangstha showcased how civil society, government representatives, and community leaders can come together to create lasting impact.
⨠With sustained generosity and inclusive action, children with disabilities and street-connected learners can grow into empowered citizensâready to shape a more just and compassionate society.
đ¤ Generosity is not a moment. Itâs a movement.
