IUB Theatre is one of the primitive clubs of Independent University, Bangladesh. It started its journey in 2006 being the earliest and only cultural club at IUB. It greatly encourages students to showcase and outgrow their talents and passions. IUB Theatre has staged 23 theatre productions, among them 7 productions were staged at the most prominent institution of Bangladesh for theatre, “Banglades
h Shilpakala Academy”. In 2008, IUB Theatre and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) had jointly organised a theatre festival at the National Theatre Stage to create a common platform for the theatre clubs of private universities. So far IUB Theatre, being actively involved in social welfare works, the club has so far held several blood donation campaigns, donated relief to the flood affected people, aggrieved people due to the pandemic, etc. IUB Theatre also arranges an Iftar event with all the staff members of IUB in every Ramadan. The club also collaborates with other clubs as well in order to organize collaborative events in IUB.
