More than hundreds killed in Nepal flood as fears grow of secondary disaster
Nepali families in the impacted region and abroad anxiously await updates on their relatives. More than 700 foreign nationals, including Americans, remain missing.

More than 1,400 people are missing — including at least 700 foreigners from two dozen countries, including the US — after catastrophic flash flooding hit China and Nepal on Wednesday. The death toll in Nepal has climbed to more than 350 people as search and rescue operations are hampered by a lack of connectivity, power and resources.

STANDING WITH NEPAL

Our hearts, prayers, and solidarity are with the people of Nepal during this difficult time.
May Nepal heal, rebuild, and rise again.

The recent flood in Chattogram, Bangladesh, has caused serious damage to many areas. Heavy rainfall and overflowing rivers have left thousands of homes and roads under water.

Around one million people have been affected, and more than 267,000 families remain stranded. So far, at least 44 people have lost their lives, while many others are suffering without safe drinking water, food, electricity, and medical care.

Floodwater has also forced snakes out of their habitats, increasing the risk of snake bites. The government and volunteers are providing food, clean water, medicine, and shelter, but many families still need much more support to recover from this disaster.

We must need to stand beside them in the sake of humanity and goodwill. May hard times pass soon and they be able to relive the moment of peace.
