FEED initiated to developmental activities journey by renovating cyclone damaged Gogra primary school and Boro Moidan non government primary school with the support of Japanese donor agency PUS-Osaka. After that we built Kansai Hakaluki High School and Jafarpur Terakoya Preparetory School and received its registration from NGO Affairs Bureau, Prime Minister's office, The People's Republic of Bangladesh on 23 October in 2002. Now, we play a master role in Barlekha with establishing and co-operating many educational institutions, environment and Climate Change, disaster management & relief distribution, computer skill basic training, sexually viral diseases (STDS), child marriages, free health checkup and mass awareness are the main activities. We are committed to working with responsibility to ensure participation of society. The Foundation for Environment and Economic Development-FEED is a local non-profit organization. It has been established on 30th April, 1989 by the General Meeting at Barlekha Town, attended many village elite persons from different villages from Gogra, Barmaidhan, Murshibadkura, Halla, kutaura and Borni, Barlekha Upazila under Moulvibazar Haor and Hill District. This Local NPO was formed according to the willingness of the community people in a view to deal with the present socio-economic problems, environment and climate change in different villages by means of good understanding and sharing the problems each other and to find out the best way of solving the problems through free discussion and people participation in the decision making and get-together under an umbrella of FEED Organization.
