Today is International Peace Day, and never has the world needed peace more 🕊️
Fostering peace contributes to the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals, and is the foundation for fundamental rights and freedom for all.

Fighting 🌎👫 global inequality, ⚖️injustice, and advancing 🌱sustainable development, 🕊️peace, 🔒security as well as ✊human rights and human dignity are long-standing core priorities for peaceful earth!

We must work together to resolve existing conflicts, address their root causes and promote peace so that refugees can return home safely. 🕊️🌍

Around the world lives are being ripped apart, childhoods extinguished, and basic human dignity discarded, amidst the cruelty and degradations of war.

2025 Theme: Act Now for a Peaceful World
In a time of turbulence, tumult, and uncertainty, it is critical for everyone to take concrete action to mobilize for peace.

From peacekeepers on the front lines of conflict, to community members, to students in classrooms around the world, everyone has a role to play. We must speak up against violence, hate, discrimination, and inequality; practice respect; and embrace the diversity of our world.

There are many ways to act right now. Spark conversations about the urgent need for understanding, non-violence, and disarmament. Volunteer in your community, listen to voices different from your own, challenge discriminatory language in your workplace, report bullying both online and off-line, and take the time to verify facts before you post on social media.

You can also speak up with your choices, opting to purchase items from socially-conscious brands, or donating to organizations that promote sustainability and human rights.

The United Nations also works in each of these areas, leading global efforts to advance human rights, fight climate change, and prevent and respond to conflict.

🌟 Celebrating International Youth Day 2025! 🌟

This , we celebrate young changemakers worldwide who are driving progress from the ground up! From climate action to digital innovation, youth are building more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient communities.

📢 This year’s theme, “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond," highlights how young people are turning the Sustainable Development Goals into reality in their neighborhoods, schools, and cities. Their creativity and leadership are essential to building inclusive policies and achieving a better future for all.

💡 Bangladesh Coalition on Youth, Peace and Security stands with youth by supporting them through peacebuilding, Interreligious Dialogue with Coffee, conflict resolution and skills development, amplifying their voices in policy-making, supporting youth-led innovations, and fostering inclusive spaces for collaboration. Together, we’re ensuring young people have the tools and opportunities to lead.

🚀 Join us in celebrating youth power! Share how you or young leaders in your community are taking action.
