The IEEE EDS Student Branch Chapter, University of Dhaka, successfully hosted an insightful hands-on VLSI workshop in collaboration with ARTIS by ACI Semiconductor, featuring the session “𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬: 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐚 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬—𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐭.”

🚀 OUTREACH | IEEE SB DU 2026 — A DAY TO REMEMBER

What an incredible day filled with learning, curiosity, creativity, and innovation! 💡

Our outreach program, “Into the World of IoT with ESP32,” was a wonderful success, and we are pleased to share that both the students and volunteers had an amazing experience.

🏫 A Warm Welcome

We are deeply grateful to Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Govt. Girls’ High School for their warm welcome and hospitality. The teachers were extremely supportive and helpful throughout the program, creating a wonderful environment for the students to learn and explore. The school also kindly hosted lunch for us, making our visit even more memorable.

💻 Hands-On Learning

The students were incredibly enthusiastic throughout the session and had the opportunity to work hands-on with breadboards, sensors, and ESP32-S3, taking their first steps into the exciting world of IoT and embedded systems.

🎓 Making Learning Fun

A huge appreciation goes to our instructors, Tahsin Touheed Ivan and Fahad Arefin, for conducting an engaging and interactive training session. Their energetic approach made the concepts accessible and enjoyable for the students while keeping them actively involved throughout the session.

🔬 A Special Showcase by Optica

A special appreciation goes to our collaborators from the Optica Student Branch Chapter, University of Dhaka, for bringing a fascinating collection of projects to the showcase.

🚗 The students were particularly impressed by the RC Car and Hydro Alert, which demonstrated how concepts learned in the classroom can be transformed into practical technological applications.

🔭 The Holographic Sight was another highlight of the showcase. It captured the students’ attention and gave them an exciting glimpse into emerging technologies and immersive experiences.

🧠 Quiz and Innovative Thinking

The students also demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm during the quiz based on the topics covered throughout the program. Their responses reflected not only their understanding of the concepts but also their creativity and ability to think beyond the conventional.

🏆 Along with recognizing the top three scorers, we introduced a special “Innovative Thought” prize to acknowledge a student whose exceptionally creative answer stood out during the session.

The enthusiasm, curiosity, and thoughtful participation of the students made the entire experience truly memorable.

🤝 A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers, instructors, collaborators, teachers, and students who contributed to making this outreach program possible. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and teamwork turned the event into an inspiring and meaningful learning experience.

🚀 Outreach Program – August 30, 2026 | Sunday

We are delighted to share that the IEEE Electron Devices Society Student Branch Chapter University of Dhaka co-hosted the outreach program, “Into the World of IoT with ESP32,” in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch University of Dhaka, and the Optica Student Branch Chapter University of Dhaka.

Bringing technology closer to young minds, the program was held at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Govt. Girls’ High School, introducing students to the fascinating world of IoT and embedded systems. From hands-on activities with breadboards, sensors, and ESP32-S3 to exciting project demonstrations and an engaging quiz, the session encouraged students to explore technology through creativity and practical learning.

We sincerely appreciate the instructors, volunteers, collaborators, teachers, and students whose enthusiasm and efforts made the program a meaningful and memorable experience. ✨
