Bringing Safe Drinking Water to Coastal Communities

The southwestern coastal region of Bangladesh, particularly the areas adjacent to the Sundarbans, continues to face a severe shortage of safe drinking water. Salinity intrusion, climate change impacts, and limited freshwater sources have made access to clean water a daily challenge for local communities.

To address this critical issue, a tube well installation initiative is being implemented by YouthNet Global with the support of Fresh Water Foundation. This effort aims to improve access to safe drinking water for vulnerable families living in coastal areas, contributing to better health, well-being, and resilience.

Access to clean water is not just a basic necessity, it is a fundamental human right. Through collective action and partnership, we are working towards a healthier and more sustainable future for coastal communities.
