On this International Workers' Day, Students Oneness Forum stands in deep respect and unwavering solidarity with workers everywhere—the silent architects of our society whose labor sustains our daily lives. While today is a day of recognition, it is also a moment of reflection on the injustices that persist.
We strongly oppose child labour. No child should be forced to sacrifice their childhood, education, and dreams in order to survive. Every child deserves the right to learn, to grow, and to build a future filled with opportunity.
We raise our voice against gender-based wage discrimination. Women continue to contribute equally often even more, yet are denied equal pay, equal opportunities, and equal recognition. This inequality has no place in a just and progressive society.
We also stand in solidarity with tea garden workers, whose relentless effort fuels an entire industry, yet whose wages and living conditions often remain far below what they rightfully deserve. Their work is essential, their contribution invaluable, and their dignity non-negotiable.
At Students Oneness Forum, we believe that true progress is not measured by economic growth alone, but by how fairly and respectfully a society treats its workers. Justice, dignity, and fair compensation are not privileges—they are fundamental rights.
Today, as students and as responsible members of society, we pledge to raise awareness, to stand against exploitation, and to advocate for a future where every worker—regardless of age, gender, or profession—is valued, protected, and empowered.
Let this day remind us that the fight for workers’ rights is not over. It continues in our voices, our actions, and our commitment to building a more just, equal, and humane world for all. ✊
