𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞:

The first phase of the Project that has been related to civil construction has been completed. Now starts the main phase (2nd phase) the design of which is closely related to the various categories planned for the Museum. Based upon the categories, the entire floor plan is now being designed by our architectural unit led by Grn. Mamun. Once the design has been completed and approved by the Museum Team, the construction will begin. We expect this to start after Ramadan. The specialists have informed us that it will take 2 to 3 months to complete.

We have already started the hunt to collect artifacts, documents, images etc. under the various categories. If you have any item that you feel is worthy of its place in SGHS’s historical Museum, please submit it to the School Principal, Bro. Placid Rebeiro csc. Please write a note about it with your name and batch.

On the sponsorship side, we have some names registered, however, the committed fund has not been deposited to TGS account. Kindly note that we have limited space allocation for the sponsors. In view of this we have to have a cut off date. All committed sponsors are requested to deposit their amount to TGS before March 1. The cost of sponsorship will be increased after March 1.
This Museum Project truly represents the Cover story of TGS Spotlight.

The Gregorian Society - TGS proudly launches the Grn. Kazi Kamal Memorial Interschool Basketball Tournament 2025!

The tournament started today with 9 top schools from across the country competing for ultimate glory on the court.

We were honored to have Gregorian Shamim Newaz, President of the Bangladesh Basketball Federation and Vice President of TGS, inaugurate the event as the Chief Guest. TGS President, Yousuf Rahman Babu, attended as the Guest of Honour, adding to the spirit and excitement of the opening day.

On 22 November 2025, "TGS Presents: Treasured Memories" brought together the enduring spirit and shared pride of the Gregorians. Nearly 200 alumni and their spouses joined us for an evening that celebrated our heritage, our bonds, and the remarkable individuals who continue to elevate this distinguished community.

We honored those who laid the foundation of our alumni organization and recognized Gregorians who have made lasting contributions in finance, science, technology, sports, and most importantly- nation building. TGS also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting current students and alumni through meaningful initiatives, community programs, and educational activities. The audience enjoyed a curated slideshow showcasing our work, along with announcements of exciting projects such as SGHS Museum, Kazi Kamal Bir Bikram Basketball Tournament, Scholarship Programs etc.

Special event for Gregorians organized by TGS to be held on November 22.

We are happy to see the progress of confirmations made by Gregorians of various decades through their collection of the “Sponsorship Cards” to attend the event of Nov 22.

To those that haven’t acquired their cards, please be advised that as of Nov 19, the cards will not be available for purchase.

If you are unable to acquire the cards physically but do intend to attend, one way of confirming your attendance is to book them via email or text message and pay upon arrival. State your name, your batch number and the number of cards. In return you will receive the copy of the card that will be blocked along with the receipt. There are several of our Gregorian brothers who have taken this step. This step has to be taken no later than Nov 19.

We look forward to seeing you and, hopefully, your spouse at this memorable event that will keep you positively engaged.

The partnership between The Gregorian Society - TGS and Gregorian English Language Club - GELC continues to thrive, driven by a shared vision to position GELC among the nation’s leading youth organizations.

Over the past four years, TGS has proudly sponsored GELC’s national events. This year’s 6th National English Carnival set a new benchmark by bringing together over 4,000 participants from across the country.

Taking this collaboration a step further, TGS and GELC have developed a dedicated website that will serve as a centralized digital hub for club members and event participants. The website has been designed and developed by Gregorian Jabir Al Mahdi Izaan (Class of 2021), currently a second-year IT undergraduate at RMIT University, Melbourne.

This milestone underscores TGS and GELC’s shared commitment to empowering youth, fostering innovation and building a more powerful community.

A thoughtful and memorable event appropriately themed as “An Evening of Treasured Moments” has been set for the evening of November 22, 2025. It is to be held at the Krishibid Institution Convention Hall, Khamar Bari Road, Farmgate, Dhaka from 6:30 PM.

All Gregorians are encouraged to attend the event, as it will not only take you on a “walk down memory lane,” but also offer an evening that highlights the various programs and projects The Gregorian Society has envisioned- all with the intent of benefiting our Alma Mater and uplifting the spirit of Gregorian brotherhood.
