Message From Yousuf Rahman, President of TGS
A historic milestone was reached for two honorable entities, St. Gregoryโs High School & College and The Gregorian Society, when a well-thought-out MOU in the context of the Museum Project was signed on Friday, August 14, at SGHS&C.
We have established a slogan that is self-explanatory to all. โProtect and Preserveโ is our mission for the Museum.
A well-cemented partnership between TGS and SGHS&C, which brought in some fully committed visionary Gregorians along with the esteemed Principal of the school, made it happen.
Grn. Rizwan Khair, class of 1974, Vice President of TGS and Bro. Placid Peter Rebeiro CSC, Principal of SGHS&C, signed the MOU in a simple yet memorable event. Grn. Hafiz, class of 1982 and Grn. Richard Gomes, class of 1987 and Senior Teacher of SGHS&C were the two respectable witnesses. It was well attended by the members of the History and Heritage team of TGS along with a few others from the school administration.
The civil construction phase of the Museum is nearly completed, thanks to several Gregorians from all across the globe. They all believed in the moral and ethical integrity of TGS as they stepped forward to support its establishment.
We have now stepped into the second phase. Teams have been set for each assignment - and there are quite a few, with a clear objective set. Every single member of each team is working hard to get it right.
My special thanks to two individuals, Grn. Masrur Mamun, class of 1991 and Grn. Shompod, class of 2010, without whose 100% commitment the Museum would not have seen the light of day.
We are moving ahead slowly but surely, thankfully in the right direction.
Keep your eyes open, as you will get regular updates every week.
I wish all of you the very best. Be a part of TGS and the vision it projects.
