Our Founder looks innocent … until she isn’t 👀

Well… it was only a matter of time. 👀

Meet the sixth and final founder joining us for PAUSE. After Hours: Founder Goes Mafia: Syeda Nadira Sumaiya

Over the years, she’s built things, crashed a few things, rebuilt some more, worked across startups and businesses, built communities through Project Kritoggo , Noble Printing & Packaging; gotten involved in more ventures than she probably needs to, and somehow still finds time to give financial advice that she herself occasionally forgets to follow. 😂

But somewhere along the way, she found the thing she might actually be best at: creating ideas that make people pause, bringing people together, and turning perfectly normal concepts into slightly questionable experiences. Which is, of course, how PAUSE.dhk happened.

So yes, she’s the founder behind PAUSE. The creative mind responsible for the chapters, the conversations, the chaos… and now, apparently, the Mafia game too.

Which brings us to the slightly more concerning question:

What happens when the person who created the game decides to play it? 👀

Does she know too much? Is she simply here for the fun? Or has she been planning her alibi since the very beginning?

There’s only one way to find out.

Our first round of emergency flood relief has been successfully distributed.

With the support of our volunteers on the ground, we delivered dry food, and essential hygiene supplies, including female hygiene products, to families affected by the ongoing floods.

Disaster response is never the work of one person or one organization. It is at its strongest when individuals, volunteers, and organizations come together with a shared purpose. By working collectively rather than individually, we can reach more communities, respond more effectively, and ensure that aid reaches those who need it most.

A special thank you to Greenman and the dedicated volunteers. Your willingness to step forward without hesitation, work tirelessly on the ground, and help us reach communities in need has made a meaningful difference. Your support reminds us that collaboration is one of the most powerful forms of humanitarian action.

We remain committed to supporting affected communities across Chittagong and other flood-affected regions.

Bangladesh needs us again.

Relentless monsoon rains have left thousands of families stranded, displaced, and grieving. Lives have been lost, including children, and the crisis continues to unfold.

This is not the time to look away.

Let’s stand together and respond with compassion. Every contribution—big or small—can help provide emergency food, clean water, medicine, shelter, and other essential relief to those who need it most.

Our immediate priority is supporting the people of , while also extending relief to other flood-affected regions, including Sylhet, Feni, and surrounding areas, based on the needs on the ground.

Together, we can remind those affected that they are not alone.

This Ramadan, we had the opportunity to stand beside some truly resilient children and their families at Autism Support Association Bangladesh.

Many of these children are growing up with autism and other developmental challenges, and for families already facing financial hardship, the journey can be even more demanding. Through your support, we were able to share Iftar meals and distribute Eid grocery packs- easing, even if a little, the burden they carry every day.

A special thank you to every donor who continues to place their trust in us. It is because of you that we are able to reach communities that are often overlooked, and extend the spirit of Ramadan where it is needed most.

With only a few days left till Ramadan ends, our daily Iftar campaign has been successful only due to all your support and the hardwork of our volunteers.

The kids at FFC orphanage has a special place in our heart, for this is where the journey of KFB had began! This year, we had the privilege of having Iftar with them and witnessing how happy they were reminded us again about why we do what we do. Grateful to everyone who helped make this event a success!

This Women’s Day, through our Zakat for Livelihood initiative, we had the privilege of supporting another incredible woman with a sewing machine — a simple tool that will help her build a more stable future for her family.

Like so many women around us, she quietly carries countless responsibilities every day. From caring for her children to managing her household, she has always tried to support her family in every way possible. She already had the skill to sew, but owning a sewing machine had always been beyond reach.

Today, that changed. She now has the opportunity to start working from home, earn with dignity, and contribute to her household in a meaningful way.

This is what Zakat for Livelihood is about — not just providing temporary support, but giving someone the chance to stand on their own feet and build a sustainable path forward.

This Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and determination of women who uplift their families every single day.

This Ramadan, we had the honour of distributing Qur’ans to madrasa students in need — young learners who are dedicating their time to studying and memorising the Book of Allah.

For some of them, owning a personal Qur’an is not easy. Many come from families who cannot afford one, and madrasas are not always able to provide individual copies for every student. Today, because of your support, these students now have their own Qur’an- something they can learn from, reflect on, and carry with them on their spiritual journey.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” (Bukhari)

May every letter they recite bring reward to those who made this possible.

Alhamdulillah, throughout this Ramadan we continue our daily iftar distribution, Zakat for Livelihood support, (10 Taka) Bazaar, and other initiatives assisting orphanages, daily labourers, and underprivileged communities across the country.

This Ramadan, we began our Zakat for Livelihood initiative by supporting two women in Satkhira with sewing machines- tools they already know how to use, but never had access to own.

Both women come from deeply vulnerable backgrounds, struggling to maintain a stable income month to month. One of them has been carrying her family alone after being abandoned by her husband. What they needed wasn’t just charity; it was a chance to earn with dignity.

Your Zakat didn’t just provide support. It gave them a path to stability. We carefully identify families facing real hardship and match support to skills they already have, so your Zakat creates lasting change — not temporary relief.
