🌍 5th National Child and Youth Assembly 2026 | RISE • UNITE • IGNITE

The 5th National Child and Youth Assembly 2026 brought together child and youth leaders from across Bangladesh, government representatives, and representatives from various private organizations—creating a remarkable gathering where experiences, leadership, dreams, and aspirations for change came together. 💙

The Chief Guest was Honourable Finance and Planning Minister Mr. Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, MP. Special guests included representatives from various ministries and government institutions. Their presence created an important bridge between child and youth leaders and policymakers. 🤝

At this Assembly, Maria, President of , represented children and raised her voice for the rights, safety, dignity, equality, and a better future of every child. Through her voice, she carried the dreams and aspirations of children from across the country. 🧡

Shurjodoy Child Forum is proud to share that our President, Maria Akter Baby, participated as a panelist in the “Dialogue on Shaping Tomorrow: The Five Zero Plus Movement,” organized by World Vision Bangladesh .

This important dialogue provided children and young people with the opportunity to raise their voices directly to policymakers, government officials, and representatives from various institutions. The discussion highlighted the urgent need to end child marriage, eliminate child labour, prevent school dropout, and stop all forms of violence against children.

We believe that meaningful participation of children in decision-making processes is essential to building a safer, more inclusive, and brighter future for every child.

Today, a meaningful and interactive workshop on Children Against Violence (CAV) was organized by the Advocacy Team of World Vision Bangladesh with the participation of Shurjodoy Child Forum .

The workshop aimed to hear directly from children about the different forms of violence and abuse they experience in their communities, the impacts these issues have on their physical, mental, and social well-being, and the actions that can be taken to prevent them.

During the discussion, children highlighted various issues such as child marriage, child labour, child abuse, cyberbullying, domestic violence, and other forms of violence affecting children. They also shared their views and recommendations on the roles that families, schools, communities, and government institutions can play in creating a safer and more protective environment for children.

This initiative provided an important platform for children to raise their voices, share their experiences, and contribute to meaningful discussions on child protection.

Special thanks and sincere appreciation to the Advocacy Team of for organizing such an insightful workshop, for valuing our opinions, listening to our voices, and ensuring that children's perspectives are heard and considered.

Together, we can build a safer, more inclusive, and violence-free world for every child.
