আমরা কোচের গায়ে লেখা দেখতে পারছি WECDR এটার মানে কি? এটা হলো কোচ টাইপ। প্রতিটি কোচের গায়ে এভাবে কোচ টাইপ লেখা থাকে। এই লেখাগুলো দেখে কিভাবে বুঝবেন যে কোনটা কোন কোচ?আসুন জেনে নেয়।

W = ভেস্টিবিউল অর্থাৎ মাঝে যাতায়াতের দরজা আছে
E = শোভন সিট বা ২য় শ্রেণী
C = শোভন চেয়ার
CC = প্রথম চেয়ার
J = তাপানুকুল
FC = ফাস্ট ক্লাস নন এ সি
PC = পাওয়ার কার
CD = খাবার গাড়ী
L = লাগেজ
R = গার্ড কামরা বা গার্ড ব্রেক
S = ২য় শ্রেণী আবার আন্তঃনগরে ২য় শ্রেণী স্লিপার।

এখন ধরুনঃ

WE = আন্তঃনগর (মাঝে দরজা সহ) শোভন সিট।
WEC =আন্তঃনগর (মাঝে দরজা সহ) শোভন চেয়ার।
WJC = আন্তঃনগর (মাঝে দরজা সহ) এ সি ক্যাবিন বা কুপ।
WCC = আন্তঃনগর (মাঝে দরজা সহ) প্রথম চেয়ার।
WJCC = আন্তঃনগর (মাঝে দরজা সহ) তাপাকুনুল স্নিগ্ধা।
WEPC = আন্তঃনগর (মাঝে দরজা সহ) শোভন সিট ও পাওয়ার কার।
WELR = আন্তঃনগর (মাঝে দরজা সহ, এক দিকে) শোভন সিট, লাগেজ কম্পারট্মেন্ট ও গার্ড ব্রেক বা কামরা।
WER = আন্তঃনগর (মাঝে দরজা সহ, এক দিকে) শোভন সিট, ও গার্ড ব্রেক বা কামরা।
S = মেল বা ২য় শ্রেণির ট্রেনে ২য় শ্রেণী।
L= মেল ট্রেনে ব্যবহৃত লাগেজ কোচ।
SLR = মেল ট্রেনে ব্যবহৃত ২য় শ্রেণী, লাগেজ ও গার্ড ব্রেক।
এভাবে অন্য গুলো আপনারা বের করে নিতে পারেন।
