On April 30, CGS’s Reform Watch initiative, which monitors reform progress, political developments, and implementation trends in Bangladesh under the July National Charter, released its April Monthly Update. April marked a more active phase in the post‑election reform process, with the Charter continuing to dominate discourse both inside Parliament and in the streets as ruling and parties remained divided over its method, scope, and sequencing. Parliament advanced its review of 133 interim‑government ordinances linked to reform commission recommendations and institutional restructuring. In contrast, key areas such as constitutional reform mechanisms, judicial independence, the Police Commission, and the Anti‑Corruption Commission came into focus.
