The Persian Debating Club (PDC) proudly announces the first phase of its Executive Committee for the Academic Year 2026–2027.

As the club continues its journey of promoting critical thinking, eloquent expression, and meaningful dialogue inspired by the rich Persian intellectual tradition, we are delighted to introduce our newly appointed President, Vice President, and General Secretary. These three leaders will serve at the forefront of the club's mission as we prepare to unveil the complete Executive Committee in the coming days.

We express our sincere gratitude to our Honourable Chairman, Mr. Mumit Al Rashid sir and our esteemed Moderator, Ms. Tanjina Binte Nur ma'am, for their invaluable guidance, unwavering encouragement, and continued support. We also extend our deepest gratitude to our esteemed Advisory Panel for their invaluable guidance, trust, and unwavering support in shaping the future of the Persian Debating Club.

We also express our heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Committee of 2024–2025 for their dedication, hard work, and commitment. Their efforts have laid a strong foundation upon which the club will continue to grow and thrive.

Congratulations to our newly announced office bearers. We wish you wisdom, integrity, and every success as you lead PDC into a promising new chapter.

The journey continues. The future begins today.

Persian Debating Club successfully organized the “Freshers’ Orientation 2026” for the newly admitted students of the Department of Persian Language and Literature, University of Dhaka.

The program was marked by warmth, meaningful interactions, thoughtful conversations and the joyful spirit of new beginnings. It was truly a memorable occasion to welcome the newest members of our academic family and to celebrate the beginning of their journey with us.

We express our sincere gratitude to our respected Moderator, Tanjina Binte Nur Ma’am for her valuable presence, guidance and encouragement throughout the event. We are also deeply thankful to our esteemed alumni, Nayeem Reza Bhuiyaan and Amir Mahi whose participation and support added great value to the program.

We extend our heartfelt welcome to the new batch.

PDC আয়োজিত এক মননশীল ও প্রাণবন্ত বিতর্কে সম্প্রতি আলোচিত হয়েছে সমসাময়িক বৈশ্বিক প্রেক্ষাপটের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রস্তাব:
‘এই সংসদ (ইরান-ইসরায়েল যুদ্ধের প্রেক্ষাপটে) পরাশক্তি রাষ্ট্রসমূহের চাপ মোকাবিলায় উন্নয়নশীল রাষ্ট্রসমূহ নিয়ে নতুন জোট (সামরিক বা অর্থনৈতিক) গঠন করবে।’

বিতর্কে অংশগ্রহণকারী বক্তারা তাদের সুচিন্তিত যুক্তি, বিশ্লেষণ ও প্রাঞ্জল উপস্থাপনার মাধ্যমে বিষয়টির বহুমাত্রিক দিক তুলে ধরেছেন। আন্তর্জাতিক রাজনীতি, কূটনৈতিক ভারসাম্য এবং উন্নয়নশীল রাষ্ট্রসমূহের সম্ভাব্য ভবিষ্যৎ কৌশল নিয়ে এই আলোচনা ছিল অত্যন্ত সমৃদ্ধ ও সময়োপযোগী।

PDC সবসময়ই এমন বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক চর্চার মাধ্যমে সমসাময়িক বিষয়াবলিকে গভীরভাবে অনুধাবনের একটি কার্যকর প্ল্যাটফর্ম হিসেবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে।জ্ঞানচর্চার এই ধারাবাহিকতায় আমাদের সাথে থাকুন। Where arguments strike, ideas ignite. Happy Debating.

The Persian Debating Club of the Department of Persian Language and Literature, University of Dhaka successfully hosted "Fusion Fest" on 20 January 2026; a vibrant celebration of creativity, collaboration and student initiative.

The event featured a variety of stalls organized and run by the students of the Department of Persian Language and Literature, showcasing their entrepreneurial spirit and creative talents which greatly attracted the audience. One of the major highlights of "Fusion Fest" was the entertaining satirical debate and an exciting Treasure Hunt Competition with enthusiastic participation from students.

We were honored to have the Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dr. Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan sir as the Chief Guest for the Treasure Hunt Competition. The program was further graced by the presence of Professor Mohammad Abul Kawser, Provost of Sir P J Hartog International Hall; Dr. Mumit Al Rashid, Chairman of the Department of Persian Language and Literature along with esteemed faculty members from the Departments of Persian Language and Literature, World Religions and Culture, Urdu, Music and other departments.

At the conclusion of the Treasure Hunt Competition, prizes were awarded to the winning team by the Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
We extend our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to our respected Moderator, Tanjina Binte Nur mam for her constant guidance and unwavering support. We are also deeply thankful to the Chairman of our department, Dr. Mumit Al Rashid sir for his continuous encouragement and invaluable support which have been a great source of motivation for us all.

Through Fusion Fest, we aimed to create a platform that fosters creativity, teamwork and leadership while strengthening the bond within the Persian family, making learning a celebration beyond the classroom.
