Rest in peace!

With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to 2012 JCI President Bertolt Daems

He passed away peacefully at home on May 10th, surrounded by love. We will always cherish the legacy of his 2012 visit to Bangladesh.

JCI Bangladesh arranged an exclusive dialogue on JCI Global Leadership at Gulshan Club, bringing together members of the National Governing Body 2026, all Local Presidents of 2026 & JCI Bangladesh Members for an insightful and engaging session.

The chief guests of the event were Ravi Shankar Sathiyamoorthy (Area Adviser, Area B, JCI), Kengo Suzuki (2026 JCI Vice President), and Sarasin Soegomo (2025–2026 APDC Chairperson, JCI). They shared their inspiring global JCI journeys, leadership experiences, and perspectives on strengthening local organizations through global collaboration.

The session also featured an interactive question-and-answer segment, which proved highly informative and valuable for the members of JCI Bangladesh, allowing direct engagement with the global leaders.

JCI Bangladesh National President 2026, Arefeen Raafi Ahmed, beautifully hosted the event and expressed his commitment to arranging more exclusive dialogues like this in the near future to further enhance leadership development and international exposure for members.
