The BUBT Moot Court Society - BMCS is delighted to share the successful completion of today’s workshop, “The Art of Mooting: From Research to Representation,” held at the International Conference Hall, BUBT.
The workshop commenced with a welcome address by Md. Nur A Touhid, President of the BUBT Moot Court Society - BMCS, who warmly welcomed all the distinguished guests, resource persons, and participants to the workshop.
The workshop featured three distinguished resource persons, each bringing valuable expertise and practical insights from different dimensions of mooting and advocacy.
Tanveer Ahmed, Advocate, High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, opened the workshop with an insightful session on the Basics of Mooting, introducing participants to the fundamental principles and essential skills required to begin their journey in the mooting arena.
Then, Maruf Hasan Tamal, Junior Associate, H. Kabir & Associates; Adjunct Faculty, AIUB; and Advocate, Lower Courts of Bangladesh, conducted the second session on “Research and Memorial Writing,” providing participants with practical guidance on effective legal research, structuring arguments, and preparing a compelling memorial.
The final session, “Mastering Oral Advocacy,” was conducted by Fawziyah Fariha, Senior Officer, Legal Affairs Department, IFIC Bank PLC, who shared valuable insights into courtroom presentation, persuasive advocacy, and the art of effectively presenting legal arguments before the bench.
We were honoured to have our proud alumnus and esteemed sponsor, Rayhan Noman of Legal Step, share his valuable insights and reflections on the workshop, further enriching the occasion. We were also pleased to welcome Refat Huda, representing Legal Step, and Adv. Farid Ahmed, representing the BUBT Law Alumni Association - BUBTLAA.
