Tree Plantation Service Project – Creating a Lasting Impact

The Rotary Club of Dhaka Dynamic, in collaboration with its partner club, the Rotaract Club of Dhaka Dynamic, jointly organized a Tree Plantation Service Project under the theme “Go Green to Save the Environment” on 28 August 2026 at National Bangla High School, Mirpur-2, Dhaka.

As part of the project, we planted 20 carefully selected trees, including flowering, fruit-bearing, forest, and decorative trees. Rather than focusing on the quantity of trees planted, our priority was to ensure the quality, suitability, and long-term survival of the trees.

The Headmaster of the school and the Agriculture Teacher were present and actively guided us in selecting appropriate tree species for the school premises. Their valuable advice helped us choose trees that would be suitable for the environment and easier to nurture and maintain.

Our primary focus was not simply to plant trees, but to ensure their proper care, growth, and long-term sustainability. We believe that selecting quality trees and taking responsibility for their continued care will create a lasting impact on the school environment and the community.

This initiative reflects Rotary’s commitment to environmental sustainability and meaningful community service, turning a simple tree plantation activity into a long-term investment for a greener and healthier future.
