The Intelligent Whistleblower Coalition (IWBC) is an independent civil initiative and public-interest platform dedicated to empowering whistleblowers and promoting transparency, accountability, and justice. Founded by MK Jeshadul Hoque Tanim, a nationally and internationally recognized whistleblower, IWBC supports whistleblower protection, legal awareness, and ethical advocacy for individuals expo

sing corruption, misconduct, and human rights violations. IWBC operates as a non-statutory and voluntary initiative committed to a safer, ethical, and just society.

এই উদ্যোগের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা এম কে জিসাদুল হক তানিম, যিনি জাতীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিকভাবে স্বীকৃত একজন হুইসেলব্লোয়ার। IWBC দুর্নীতি, অনিয়ম এবং মানবাধিকার লঙ্ঘনের বিরুদ্ধে তথ্য প্রকাশকারীদের সুরক্ষা, আইনগত সচেতনতা এবং নৈতিক সহায়তা প্রদান করে।

IWBC একটি অ-বিধিবদ্ধ ও স্বেচ্ছাভিত্তিক উদ্যোগ হিসেবে একটি নিরাপদ, নৈতিক ও ন্যায়ভিত্তিক সমাজ গঠনে কাজ করে।

IWBC শুধু সত্য প্রকাশ করার কাজ করে না –
IWBC does not only work to expose the truth –

এটি সত্য বলার সঙ্গে সুরক্ষা, নীতি ও সততার কাঠামো নিয়ে কাজ করে।
It also works with frameworks of protection, ethics, and integrity alongside truth-telling.

কোনো আইন প্রয়োগ করে না, শুধু নৈতিক ও সুরক্ষামূলক সহায়তা দেয়।
It does not enforce any law; it only provides ethical and protective support.

Intelligent Whistleblower Coalition – Bangladesh
proudly acknowledges its participation as a signatory (No. 126) in a joint international communication submitted to the United Nations regarding the impacts of organized crime and illicit economies on Indigenous Peoples in Latin America.

This multi-organization initiative brings together Indigenous Peoples, civil society networks, and human rights organizations from across Latin America and beyond, highlighting urgent concerns related to territorial security, environmental protection, and human rights.

“The initiative also received public attention and media coverage in different outlets and communication spaces.
We also take this opportunity to share our latest research:
‘Territories Under Threat: The Double Pressure of Organized Crime and Militarization in the Amazon’”

📢 This collective submission has been addressed to:
United Nations Member States, UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII), UNODC, and OHCHR.

🚨 “ভয়াল ২৯ এপ্রিল” — আমরা কি সত্যিই শিখেছি সেই ইতিহাস থেকে?

১৯৯১ সালের এই দিনে বাংলাদেশের দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব উপকূলে আঘাত হানে এক ভয়ংকর ঘূর্ণিঝড়—
🌪️ বাতাসের গতি প্রায় ২৫০ কিমি/ঘণ্টা
🌊 জলোচ্ছ্বাস প্রায় ২০ ফুট (৬.১ মিটার)

👉 ফলাফল ছিল ভয়াবহ:
• প্রায় ১,৩৮,০০০ মানুষের মৃত্যু
• প্রায় ১ কোটি মানুষ গৃহহীন
• উপকূলীয় বহু অঞ্চল সম্পূর্ণ ধ্বংস

🌍 এটি শুধু একটি প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগ ছিল না—এটি ছিল একটি আন্তর্জাতিক মানবিক সংকট

বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশ ও জাতিসংঘ একত্রে পরিচালনা করে
🚢 Operation Sea Angel
👉 যার মাধ্যমে হাজার হাজার টন খাদ্য, পানি ও চিকিৎসা সহায়তা পৌঁছে দেওয়া হয়

🏚️ সবচেয়ে বেশি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছিল উপকূলের অসহায় মানুষগুলো:
সন্দ্বীপ, মহেশখালী, হাতিয়া, কুতুবদিয়া, বাঁশখালী—
👉 অনেক এলাকায় ৮০–৯০% ঘরবাড়ি ধ্বংস হয়ে যায়

💸 অর্থনৈতিক ক্ষতি: প্রায় ১.৫–১.৭ বিলিয়ন ডলার

⚖️ এই ইতিহাস আমাদের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শিক্ষা দেয়:
