We are delighted to share the wonderful memories from our Graduation and Celebration Ceremony, marking the successful completion of two inspiring courses with Amala Education: Social Entrepreneurship and Peacebuilding.

This special occasion celebrated the dedication, resilience, and achievements of our young graduates. We were honored to celebrate together with our parents, community leaders, and the Rohingya Youth Union (RYU) Team.

🏆 One of the proudest moments of the ceremony was recognizing the outstanding achievements of our participants. We proudly awarded the Top 3 participants from each course with prestigious prizes in recognition of their exceptional commitment, hard work, and performance.

Congratulations to all our graduates! 🎉 Completing these courses is not the end of your journey—it is the beginning of new opportunities to use your knowledge, skills, and leadership to create positive change in our communities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Amala Education, everyone who supported this journey, and the dedicated RYU Team for making this learning experience and celebration possible.

REMEMBERING OUR JOURNEY, SHAPING OUR FUTURE — DAY 2

After a meaningful and powerful Day 1 — Youth Forum, we are now getting ready for Day 2: Stakeholder Forum tomorrow, 25 August 2026.

This day marks nine years since the August 2017 Rohingya crisis, a journey marked by displacement, loss, resilience, and an ongoing struggle for justice, dignity, rights, and a safe and sustainable future.

Tomorrow, the Rohingya Youth Union (RYU) will bring together community representatives, youth leaders, civil society, humanitarian actors, and other stakeholders for a meaningful dialogue on:

The realities of Rohingya displacement and life in the refugee camps
Youth participation and leadership
Community representation and meaningful inclusion
Human rights, justice, and accountability
Education, livelihoods, and opportunities for the next generation
Peacebuilding and community resilience
The future of Rohingya refugees and pathways toward a safe, dignified and sustainable return
Recommendations and concrete actions for the international community

Nine years ago, on 25 August 2017, over 700,000 Rohingya were forced to flee their homes in Rakhine State. Nine years later, we are still here — remembering our journey, and shaping our future.

The Rohingya Youth Union (RYU) invites you to a two-day Commemoration & Stakeholder Forum in Cox's Bazar:

🕊️ Day 1 — Youth Forum
Mon, 24 August | 2:00–5:00 PM | In-Person, Cox's Bazar
40 Rohingya youth leaders come together to remember, reflect, and reimagine — honoring our past and closing with a Youth Call to Action that carries our voice into Day 2.

🤝 Day 2 — Stakeholders Meeting
Tue, 25 August | 12:00 PM–6:00 PM | Hybrid (In-Person + Zoom)
CSOs, UN agencies, donors, and government representatives join us to turn youth priorities into real policy pathways, across two blocks:

▸Understanding the Crisis — root causes, current realities, and a centerpiece panel on Self-Determination & Rohingya Political Agency, through to sustainable solutions, the humanitarian response, and Myanmar's future.

▸New Perspectives — history and the 25 August 2017 journey, first-hand testimonies, the legal rights of a stateless people, and alternative solutions beyond the status quo.

The day closes with a World Café policy session and a set of concrete recommendations to carry forward.
