🌏 World Cleanup Day 2026 | Student-Led Green Leadership Program
♻️ Reduce Single-Use Plastics, Build a Greener Future

On 23 September 2026, SSD Youth Foundation, in partnership with Young Power in Social Action (YPSA), organized a Plastic Pollution Awareness Program at Jarailtola High School, Cox’s Bazar under the Plastics Circularity Project, funded by The Coca-Cola Foundation (TCCF) and implemented by UNDP and YPSA. 🌍💚

From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, more than 90 students, teachers and volunteers came together to learn, participate and take action for a cleaner and greener campus.

✨ Highlights of the Day:

🗣️ Awareness Session
An engaging session on plastic pollution, waste management and the importance of reducing single-use plastics.

🧠 Plastic Pollution Quiz Competition
Students tested their knowledge and awareness about plastic pollution, followed by a prize-giving ceremony for the top performers. 🏆

🎨 “Plastic-Free Future” Art Competition
Students expressed their vision for a plastic-free future through creativity, with prizes awarded to the most inspiring entries. 🎨🏆

🌳 Tree Plantation Drive
Students, teachers and volunteers planted trees together, taking a meaningful step towards a greener and healthier campus. 🌱

📌 Campus Awareness Campaign
Plastic-reduction awareness stickers were placed across the school campus to keep the message visible and encourage positive environmental habits every day.

🌱 Green Ambassadors Team Formation
A dedicated team of 10 student leaders, guided by one teacher, was formed to promote environmental awareness and continue green initiatives within the school.

💚 Together, we are creating more than awareness — we are building young environmental leaders.

A heartfelt thank you to the Headmaster, teachers and students of Jarailtola High School for their warm hospitality and enthusiastic participation.

Our sincere appreciation to YPSA, UNDP and The Coca-Cola Foundation for supporting this initiative and making this meaningful journey possible.

🌍 Join us for a Plastic Pollution Awareness Program!

SSD Youth Foundation, in partnership with Young Power in Social Action (YPSA), is bringing an interactive environmental awareness campaign to Jarailtola High School under the Plastics Circularity Project, Cox's Bazar — funded by The Coca-Cola Foundation (TCCF) and implemented by UNDP and YPSA.

📅 Date: Wednesday, 23 September 2026
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Venue: Jarailtola High School, Ramu, Cox's Bazar

Students will take part in an awareness session on plastic pollution and waste management, a quiz competition, an art competition on "Plastic-Free Future," and the formation of a school-based Green Ambassadors Team to carry the mission forward.

Let's raise a generation that says no to single-use plastics and yes to a cleaner, greener campus! 💚

SSD Youth Foundation proudly joined the “Climate Memory Map: Stories of the Coast, Solutions for the Future” campaign held on 19 June 2026 at Laboni Beach, Cox’s Bazar.

Organized by JYDA Bangladesh with support from Participatory Research & Action Network (PRAAN) and funding from ActionAid Bangladesh and Fair Finance Asia, the campaign turned lived climate experiences into action through mapping, storytelling, plastic cleanup, sapling exchange, and youth engagement.
