Upoma Kallyan Sangstha (UNKS) is an organization working for women by women to empower them. For this purpose, the organization is implementing a project titled “Women Leadership on Improving Peace, Socio-economic stability and Participation in Power Corridor in Cox’s Bazar.” As an activity, we have done several programs in several times. The pictures are evidence of some of them.

Sewing machine distribution ceremonies were held recently under the WPHF Fund at the office of the Upoma nari Kallyan Sangstha (UNKS). Deputy Director of the Department of Women's Affairs Subrata Biswas, UN Women Representatives, Bangladesh Nari Progoti Songho, Project Coordinator, Upoma nari Kallyan Sangstha(UNKS) Chief Executive Papia Rani Dey, BNPS Training Officer Program and Monitoring Officer and others.

To enhance the capacity and socio-economic development of the host community women besides the awareness raising Upoma Nari Kolyan Sangtha (UNKS) has recently finished IGA training on Tailoring, Block-dress, Food Processing, Poultry and Gardening training with the technical support of the BNPS. There were 150 participants from Samitipara, khurushkul and PM Khali who were interested in involving themselves in the economic activity.

Late Post

Our objective is to participate in various activities to illuminate the violation against women. With the theme of the year 2024, Upoma Nari Kolyan Sangtha (UNKS) celebrates the 16-day activism with the support of BNPS through “Women Leadership on Improving Peace” WPHF project. On this occasion, a discussion meeting with students, teachers and guardians was held in Khurushkul.High School where Upozila Education Officer was the chief guest. A group of women and young women of PM Khali participated in a sports program after a discussion meeting.

World vision Bangladesh and BNKS has arranged Village Development Committee Skill Development Training held in Ramu World Vision AP office . Performed the duties of the trainer in this training UNKS Organization the Chief Executive Papia Rani Dey.

In the presence of the Govt. high officials and with the collaboration of different UN Agencies, international, national and local organizations Cox’s Bazar GBV Sub-Sector and GiHA WG organized an orange rally from the DC office to Laboni Beach, discussion meeting, product presentation and cultural program. All the members of the Women Leadership on Improving Peace (WPHF) Project of UNKS and BNPS have actively participated to observe the 16 days Activism to eliminate Gender-Based Violence.
