NGO Platform Cox's Bazar Established in 2018, the NGO Platform was created in response to the exodus of Rohingyas from Myanmar

Established in 2018, the NGO Platform was created in response to the exodus of Rohingyas from Myanmar to Cox’s Bazar in 2017. The NGO Platform is a joint effort of NGOs, for NGOs and by NGOs. In consultation with the Steering Committee, the NGO Platform serves to link NGOs in a constructive manner and to provide effective support in coordination, advocacy and partnerships.

On 18 August 2025, the NGO Platform had an ad hoc meeting with Dr. Khalilur Rahman, High Representative of the Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh, and with RRRC Commissioner on the current issues related to the Rohingya camps and priorities of the response. It was a very fruitful meeting, and we are thankful to the Bangladesh government for working closely with NGOs and the NGO Platform for Rohingya Response.

Strengthening Negotiation Skills for Frontline Humanitarian Aid Workers

Hi Guys!
In collaboration with the SHED-Society for Health Extension and Development, the NGO Platform Cox's Bazar successfully conducted a two-day simulation-based training on Skills for Aid Workers training session as part of its Series for member organizations in Cox’s Bazar.
Key Highlights:
• 31 participants (45% women) from local, national, and international NGOs
• Focused sessions on the seven phases of negotiation, and , model, and handling via Thomas Kilmann
• Practical simulations, peer-to-peer learning, and interactive debriefs Participants left the training with strengthened confidence, improved communication, and enhanced strategic negotiation skills for navigating complex field environments. NGO Platform Cox’s Bazar continues its commitment to empowering frontline staff through targeted capacity building initiatives that improve humanitarian access and service delivery.

"Marketplace" for Collaboration and Innovation – A Space for Connection and Visibility.

On 27 May 2025, the NGO Platform Cox’s Bazar successfully hosted a dynamic "Marketplace" event for its member organizations. Held in Cox’s Bazar, the event aimed to foster collaboration, exchange insights, and showcase impactful and innovative work being done in the Rohingya humanitarian response.

20 member organizations participated in the Marketplace, presenting their:
🔹 Projects and initiatives
🔹 Informational materials and products
🔹 Innovative approaches and field experiences

This unique platform provided an excellent opportunity for peer learning, networking, and strengthening partnerships within the humanitarian community.

Donor Dialogue & Stakeholder Consultation – Building Inclusive Partnerships for Impact

On 27 May 2025, the NGO Platform successfully hosted an in-person Donor Dialogue and Stakeholder Consultation in Cox’s Bazar. The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, exchange insights, and explore opportunities for more inclusive and effective partnerships in the ongoing Rohingya humanitarian response.

Field Visit Spotlight: Learning from Young Power in Social Action (YPSA)

The NGO Platform Cox's Bazar Secretariat team recently had the incredible opportunity to visit Young Power in Social Action (YPSA)’s impactful programs in both the (1E, 1W, 10, 13 & 15 in Ukhiya) and the host areas of Kutupalong Bazar and Rajapalong Union.

Field Visit Spotlight: Learning from Breaking the Silence (BTS) Bangladesh.

The NGO Platform Cox's Bazar Secretariat team had the opportunity to visit Breaking the Silence (BTS) Bangladesh programs in both the Camp 17 (Ukhiya) and the host area in Jaliapalong, as part of a learning and experience-sharing visit. This well-coordinated field experience provided meaningful insights into the impactful work being done on the ground. We were especially inspired by the following initiatives:
• Jhaubon Shapla Adolescent Club – young voices
• Multipurpose Center – offering diverse support services
• Club & Child Interventions – ensuring safe spaces and development for children
