Conducting a Mathematics class at Grade 9 under the Rohingya Literature Curriculum at “RUWED” Basic Education Middle School for Girls, in collaboration with the Rohingya National Education Board (RNEB), with Mr Habibul Hoque presenting the lesson, is an important step toward improving the quality of education in the community through own language.
Along with teaching mathematics, this initiative also plays a vital role in preserving the Rohingya language. When a language is included in school learning, it becomes stronger, more respected, and easier to pass on to the next generation. Preserving a language means preserving the identity, history, traditions, and cultural values of the Rohingya people. Education in the mother tongue helps students understand better, think more confidently, and stay connected to their roots while building their future.
