We were happy to welcome Caroline, a researcher from New York University, Global TIES, to Future of Rohingya (FoR) during an 8-day training organized by HAP Services

As part of the training, HAP team members joined colleagues from icddr,b to learn how to conduct focus group discussions and key informant interviews to better understand character strengths within the community. We are excited to begin collecting qualitative data that will contribute to the iRRRd study!

During her visit, she also toured our school (multi purpose center) that was fully supported by Human Concern USA, as well as women’s livelihood initiatives and learned about our efforts to teach Rohingya Zuban alongside the Myanmar curriculum. She was excited to see how we continue working for our community despite the many challenges and limitations we face.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share our work and to be part of this important research, and we remain committed to serving and empowering our community.

FoR, along with HAP Services, is pleased to implement a short-term women’s empowerment and livelihood initiative that has created employment opportunities for nine Rohingya women.

At FoR and HAP we remain committed to creating opportunities for people who need them most. We hope this small initiative will help ease some of the women’s financial challenges and bring greater dignity and independence to their lives.

Alhamdulillah
Today, Future of Rohingya (FOR), in collaboration with the Rohingya National Education Board (RNEB), successfully distributed educational materials and water filters to ensure safe drinking water for students.

During the program, Yahiya Khan, Chief Operating Officer of FOR, delivered a brief speech highlighting the importance of Rohingya Zuban (mother-tongue-based learning). Mv Abul Kalam, the Moktab teacher, also expressed his gratitude to FOR and RNEB for their valuable support.

We hope this initiative will motivate our young learners and strengthen education in the camp.

Today, Future of Rohingya (FOR), in collaboration with Rohingya National Education Board successfully completed the distribution of educational materials and water filters to ensure safe drinking water for students.

These materials will support children in their learning journey and strengthen mother-tongue-based education in the camp. We hope this small step will bring great motivation to our young learners and help them continue their studies with confidence.
