After the fun and successful MovieFest X Blood Grouping Campaign, we now begin our most important work this winter — Project Warmth 2025.

Project Warmth is a winter cloth distribution drive by CIU-Social Welfare Society (SWS). This winter we will collect and distribute essential warm clothing to underprivileged families, children, and elderly individuals during the semester break. Our goal is to reach as many people as we can.

Drop-off: Donation boxes will be placed on the Ground Floor of Roksana Manzil, Chittagong Independent University by this weekend for winter clothes, kids’ clothing, blankets, and other warm essentials.

🎬 CIU-Social Welfare Society presents Movie Fest- 2025 🎥

Two days, one screen & shared memories.

This Movie Fest turned the movie hall into a place full of laughter, cheers, and fun. Students from different departments came together, getting scared, laughing, and enjoying every moment. Strangers became friends, and simple moments turned into memories we’ll always remember.
For a little while, we forgot about academic stress and just enjoyed being together. Thank you to everyone who joined and made this fest special.

The Honorable Vice Chancellor of CIU (Professor Dr. M. M. Nurul Absar) joined our CIU-Social Welfare Society Blood Grouping Campaign, where students from every department and semester came together with one shared purpose — to save lives.
This event marks the beginning of the SWS Blood Bank, a platform that will help any CIU member find a donor in times of urgent need. With every donor who stepped forward today, we move closer to a campus where no one faces a crisis alone.

Tomorrow, MovieFest X Blood Grouping Campaign 2025 — organized by CIU-Social Welfare Society (CIU SWS) — takes over CIU with two days of films, purpose, and real impact. With students already securing their tickets, the excitement is already in motion — now it’s time to show up and feel it.

From the big screen to the blood grouping camp run by Bangladesh Red Crescent Society – Chattogram City Red Crescent Youth, which will occur only on November 25 on the Ground Floor, the event is set to bring the entire campus together.

Fasten your seat belts — the auditorium will be packed, the vibe will be loud, and the excitement will take over.

From today, November 12, the MovieFest X Blood Grouping Campaign 2025 ticket booth is officially open — and the response has already been amazing.

We’ll be there till November 24 at Roksana Manzil and Minhaz Complex Ground Floor, so swing by, grab your ticket for just 100 BDT, and be part of something bigger than just a movie.

Every ticket contributes to Project Warmth, helping us spread love and distribute winter clothes to those in need.

CIU Social Welfare Society presents MovieFest X Blood Grouping Campaign 2025 — a two-day fundraising event for Project Warmth 2025, dedicated to supporting underprivileged and elderly individuals with winter clothing.

Join us on November 25–26 at the CIU Auditorium and be part of an initiative where entertainment meets purpose.

The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society – Chattogram City Red Crescent Youth will conduct the Blood Grouping Campaign during the event, promoting awareness on blood donation and encouraging students to know their blood type.

In recent days, Bangladesh has been shaken by a series of tragic incidents — including the Mirpur garments disaster, the Narayanganj mill explosion, the Dhaka Airport incident, unrest at the University of Cox’s Bazar, and the devastating Chattogram EPZ fire. These continuous losses have not only claimed innocent lives but have also caused severe damage to our nation’s assets, economy, and morale.

As a humanitarian youth organization, CIU-Social Welfare Society expresses deep sorrow and grave concern over these incidents. It is heartbreaking to witness how preventable tragedies continue to occur due to negligence, lack of safety measures, weak enforcement of regulations, and a lack of accountability.
