আন্তর্জাতিক জাদুঘর পরিষদের সমন্বয়ে উদযাপিত আন্তর্জাতিক জাদুঘর দিবস উপলক্ষে ১৮–২৪ মে ২০২৬ বাংলা উইকিপিডিয়ায় অনুষ্ঠিত হতে যাচ্ছে এক সপ্তাহব্যাপী বিশেষ অনলাইন সম্পাদনাসভা। জাদুঘর ও সংশ্লিষ্ট বিষয়সমূহ নিয়ে বাংলা উইকিপিডিয়ার নিবন্ধ সমৃদ্ধ ও মানোন্নয়নের এই উদ্যোগে আপনিও অংশ নিতে পারেন। অংশগ্রহণকারীদের অবদানের স্বীকৃতিস্বরূপ প্রদান করা হবে উইকিপদক ও উইকিমিডিয়া বাংলাদেশের পক্ষ থেকে সনদপত্র। আপনার অংশগ্রহণ বাংলা ভাষার মুক্ত জ্ঞানভান্ডারকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করতে সহায়তা করবে।

চলছে উইকিমিডিয়া কমন্সে আয়োজিত বার্ষিক ছবি প্রতিযোগিতার ২০তম আসর “বছরের নির্বাচিত ছবি ২০২৫”। এই প্রতিযোগিতার মাধ্যমে উইকিমিডিয়া কমন্সে অবদান রাখা ব্যবহারকারীদের অসাধারণ কাজের স্বীকৃতি দেওয়া হয়।
এ বছর “বাংলার প্রেমে উইকি ২০২৫” প্রতিযোগিতা থেকে ১৭টি ছবি এই প্রতিযোগিতার জন্য মনোনীত হয়েছিল। প্রথম পর্ব শেষে চূড়ান্ত পর্বে প্রতিযোগিতার জন্য মোট ৬টি ছবি নির্বাচিত হয়েছে।

আপনার পছন্দের ছবিকে “বছরের নির্বাচিত ছবি” হিসেবে বিজয়ী করতে এখনই ভোট দিন।

ভোটদানের শর্তাবলী:
→ দ্বিতীয় পর্বে আপনি আপনার পছন্দের সর্বোচ্চ ৫টি চূড়ান্ত ছবির জন্য ভোট দিতে পারবেন।
→ প্রতিটি ভোটের মান সমান, এবং আপনি প্রতিটি ছবির জন্য একবারই ভোট দিতে পারবেন।
→ ভোট দিতে হলে আপনাকে অবশ্যই একজন উইকিমিডিয়া ব্যবহারকারী হতে হবে—যিনি ১ জানুয়ারি ২০২৬-এর পূর্বে নিবন্ধিত হয়েছেন এবং উইকিমিডিয়া প্রকল্পসমূহে অন্তত ৭৫টি সম্পাদনা করেছেন।

১৯৯০ সাল থেকে ন্যাশনাল অ্যালায়েন্স অন মেন্টাল ইলনেসের () উদ্যোগে প্রতিবছর অক্টোবরের প্রথম সপ্তাহে বিশ্বব্যাপী পালিত হচ্ছে মানসিক অসুস্থতা সচেতনতা সপ্তাহ। এই উপলক্ষে বাংলা উইকিপিডিয়ায় চলছে বিশেষ অনলাইন সম্পাদনাসভা—যেখানে মানসিক স্বাস্থ্য, সচেতনতা ও চিকিৎসা সম্পর্কিত নিবন্ধ তৈরি ও উন্নয়নে অংশ নিতে পারেন আপনিও।

Celebrating 21 years of sharing free knowledge through images, sounds, and videos 🎂

For 21 years, the incredible community has built a home over 122 million free-to-use images, sounds, videos, and other media.

Launched in 2004, has grown into one of the world’s largest repositories of freely usable media. As a sister project of , it hosts millions of files – photographs, illustrations, maps, audio, video, and more – all shared under free licenses so anyone can use, adapt, and distribute them.

Commons was created to centralize media for Wikimedia projects, allowing contributors to upload once and have their work available across languages and platforms. Over the years, it has expanded through global photo contests, partnerships with cultural institutions, and the work of countless volunteers who upload, categorize, and improve files every day.

From documenting rare species to preserving cultural heritage and illustrating breaking news events, Commons reflects the collective effort of a worldwide community dedicated to open access. On this anniversary, we celebrate not only the files, but the people who make them discoverable, accurate, and freely available for everyone.

আদিবাসী জনগোষ্ঠীর অধিকার, ইতিহাস, ঐতিহ্য, ভাষা ও সংস্কৃতি নিয়ে বিশ্বকোষীয় নিবন্ধ তৈরির মাধ্যমে উইকিপিডিয়া সমৃদ্ধ করুন এবং বাংলা ভাষায় তথ্যের ঘাটতি পূরণে আমাদের সঙ্গে যোগ দিন।

বাংলা উইকিপিডিয়ায় আদিবাসী জনগোষ্ঠীর যথেষ্ট প্রতিনিধিত্ব না থাকায়, এই সম্পাদনাসভা সেই ঘাটতি পূরণে একটি সচেতন উদ্যোগ, যা মুক্ত জ্ঞানের জগতে প্রান্তিক কণ্ঠস্বরকে সামনে আনার পথে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখবে।

📢 Wiki Loves Bangla 2025 is Starting! 📸

The largest photography competition celebrating the Bengali language and culture, Wiki Loves Bangla 2025, is kicking off on March 1, 2025! This year's main theme is "Birds of Bengal." Capture photos of Bengali birds from anywhere in the world and participate in the contest to win exciting prizes!

📅 Competition Duration: March 1 - 31, 2025
📍 Theme: Birds of Bengal
🎯 Organizer:

Take photos of birds found in Bengali nature with your camera or mobile and contribute to the open knowledge repository. The top 10 photos will be selected, and your pictures will be featured on Wikipedia and other free knowledge platforms!

On the occasion of International Museum Day (), Wikimedia Bangladesh () is organizing a three-day long edit-a-thon where Wikimedians will create new articles and Wikidata items related to museums in Bangladesh and India. This online event is supported by Wikimedia Bangladesh’s regional community Chattogram Wikimedia Community ().

This year’s International Museum Day theme is “Museums for Education and Research”. The event's goal is to enrich Bangla Wikipedia () articles, and Wikidata items and, if possible, add relevant images of the museum to Wikimedia Commons (). Since 1977, the International Council of Museums () has celebrated International Museum Day on 18 May.

Take your favourite local museum to where the visitors are by sharing it on Wikimedia () projects...

প্রতিবছর আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে চট্টগ্রামের উইকিপিডিয়ানরা সমবেত হন। এ দিনে ঐতিহ্যগতভাবে উন্মুক্ত স্থানে ব্যানার নিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে বাংলা উইকিপিডিয়া () সমৃদ্ধির আহ্বান জানানো হয়। এবছর চট্টগ্রাম ভেটেরিনারি ও এনিম্যাল সাইন্সেস বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শহীদ মিনার প্রাঙ্গণে এই সমাবেশ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

Every year Wikipedians of Chattogram gather on International Mother Language Day. On this day, traditionally, Wikipedians stand with a banner in an open place and invite for the prosperity of Bangla Wikipedia. This year the wiki gathering was held in front of the Shaheed Minar of the Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.
